At some point in the video, the man grabs the puppy by the neck. Things become more rough as the dog bites and the man hits its back, causing the dog to yelp. Detroit Pit Crew, which is a member of the protecting animal welfare and safety task force, pushed the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office to file charges. The prosecutor’s office announced that it is referring the case to the Eastpointe City Attorney, who could choose to file possible misdemeanor charges.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Detroit man is facing multiple homicide charges in connection to the 2013 fatal stabbing of a Clinton Township woman and her 11-year-old daughter. Clinton Township police, along with the U.S. Marshall Task Force, arrested Henry Jermaine Johnson, 35, of Detroit, on Tuesday. The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday charged Johnson with two counts of homicide in the deaths of 47-year-old Tina Geiger and her daughter, Krissy. The case then went cold until another man, 40-year-old Tony Johnson, of Detroit, was charged with two counts of murder in August of this year. Henry Johnson received a $50,000 cash bond and is being held at the Macomb County Jail as of Wednesday, officials said.

EASTPOINTE, Mich. Merlin, an 8-year-old pit bull was shot multiple times in the driveway of his owners home and neighbors said the dog was not aggressive or attacking anybody. On June 20, Merlin, and Paulette Creeks other pit bull, Taz got out the front door of their home. A neighbor saw the dogs and was trying to get them into Creeks fenced backyard. The woman was on Creeks property when she saw Merlin, shrieked and then jumped onto the hood of a nearby car. Neighbors said her boyfriend pulled out a gun and shot the dog between 5 and 6 times.

MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. The Macomb County Prosecutors Office has denied charges in connection with an altercation between a Warren police officer, who is White, and an Amazon driver, who is Black. Cellphone video of the Amazon driver being violently arrested by police as he was making a delivery went viral on social media. The driver was charged with resisting and obstructing a police officer, failure to obey a lawful command and failure to produce a drivers license.
