The signings will allow Bingham and Brown to play with their new teams starting in the NBA summer league next month in Las Vegas. Strong showings there could lead to NBA Training camp invites in the fall and a shot at making the team’s NBA or G-League rosters for 2022-23. Bingham and Brown were both four-year players with the Spartans who steadily improved to become starters by their senior seasons.

Washington Jr. declared for the draft despite having one year of eligibility remaining but will have an opportunity to compete for a spot in the NBA. Prior to attending OSU, Washington Jr. spent the first three years of high school at Grand Rapids Christian, where he helped the Eagles to a state runner-up finish as a junior in 2017. Washington Jr. transferred to Sierra Canyon for his senior year where he became All-State after averaging 15.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists.
