Woman, 37, killed in Michigan crash was not wearing seat belt, police say
WAYNE COUNTY, MI – A 37-year-old woman was killed when she crashed her vehicle into the back of multiple vehicles, including a semi-truck in Metro Detroit. According to the troopers from the Michigan State Police Metro South Post, the crash occurred on eastbound M-14 near Beck Road at 8:25 a.m. on Friday. The momentum of the crash propelled the vehicle into the back of a semi-truck, police said. The woman, who has not been identified by name, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, police said. Traffic is being detoured via Beck Road.mlive.com
2 pedestrians hit by car on Northwestern Highway in Southfield
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Two people have been rushed to a hospital after being hit by a car on Northwestern Highway near Beck Road in Southfield. A 23-year-old man was listed in serious condition, and a 63-year-old woman was listed in critical condition. Southfield police are investigating the incident. Watch the report in the video above. Farmington Hills man killed in single-car crash along I-96 in Novi
Crash on eastbound I-96 near Beck Road on March 8, 2021. NOVI, Mich. – A man was killed in single-car crash Monday morning along eastbound I-96 near Beck Road in Novi. Michigan State Police said only one car, a Mercury Grand Marquis, was involved in this crash. The driver was a 67-year-old man from Farmington Hills. Police said the Marquis traveled off of I-96 and onto the right shoulder, ultimately striking the guardrail.
