Police said the Ford Fusion caught fire in the collision. The driver of the Ford Fusion survived the crash and life-flight to a Kalamazoo area hospital. The driver of the Trailblazer survived and was transported to Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. MUSKEGON COUNTY, MI -- Two drivers died in a crash in Fruitland Township, north of Muskegon, on Tuesday, May 18. Muskegon County sheriff’s deputies identified the drivers as 69-year-old Sue Ellen Martin-Crowell and 22-year-old Joshua Gutierrez. Deputies said Gutierrez was driving a Ford Fusion north on Whitehall Road about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 18 and attempted to turn west onto Riley Thompson Road. Police said he failed to yield for oncoming traffic and turned in front of another Ford Fusion driven by Martin-Crowell.
