Community holds vigil to remember 12-year-old girl killed in Taylor vehicle crash

$200,000 worth of inventory stolen from Taylor couple’s family business
TAYLOR, Mich. – A Taylor couple is desperate to catch the thief who stole $200,000 worth of inventory from their business in the middle of the night. “I came running outside,” Phillip Blackson said. Taylor police search for man in connection to shooting at Century Square Apartments
TAYLOR, Mich. – Taylor police are seeking the public’s help in finding a man in connection to a shooting at the Century Square Apartments in the area of Northline and Racho roads. Police said Mark Anthony Lane III, 20, allegedly wounded his 21-year-old girlfriend during an exchange gunfire with another man. Lane left the scene in a 2013 Dodge Challenger and is considered armed and dangerous. Video: Police take assault suspect into custody after brief police pursuit in Taylor
TAYLOR, Mich. Michigan State Police troopers and officers with the Taylor Police Department took a man into custody Thursday morning after a police pursuit. According to authorities, MSP troopers were notified of a domestic assault that occurred in front of Taylor Police officers on I-94. Police said there were two young children in the vehicle at the time who were transported to a hospital as a precaution. MSP will submit a request for the fleeing and elude, resist and obstruct and child endangerment through the prosecutors office. The domestic assault portion of the investigation will be handled by Taylor Police Department.
