DETROIT, MI - A 35-year-old New York state woman was shot at while passing a vehicle on M-10 Lodge Freeway early Sunday morning, according to a Twitter thread from Michigan State Police Metro Detroit. MSP troopers were dispatched around 12:30 a.m. to 12 Mile and Telegraph roads to speak with the shooting victim, who said she entered M-10 Lodge Freeway at 7 Mile and was driving north when she came upon a slower-moving silver SUV. As she moved into a right lane to pass the car, the front seat passenger started shooting at her vehicle, according to the thread. She said she sped away and kept driving until she reached 12 Mile and Telegraph, upon which she called 911, according to the thread. Driver reports shooting on I-94 near Ecorse Road
TAYLOR, Mich. The westbound lanes of I-94 were closed at Telegraph Road for several hours Thursday morning for a police investigation after a shooting on the interstate. Michigan State Police said troopers were dispatched about 3:50 a.m. to a shooting on the freeway. A man said he had been shot at while driving on westbound I-94 near Ecorse Road. The driver was not hurt and continued driving to work. The man who called police is a concealed pistol license (CPL) holder.
