Downtown Ann Arbor streets closing Thursday to make more space for businesses, pedestrians
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Starting Thursday, several streets in downtown Ann Arbor will close to cars allowing for more outdoor dining and shopping during the spring and summer. The Downtown Ann Arbor Pedestrian Mall will provide additional space facilitating safer physical distancing practices as community members visit businesses and restaurants. The closures will run from Thursday, April 1 to August 30. This year, some streets will be closed every day of the week while other closures will only take place from 4 p.m. on Thursdays to 6 a.m. on Mondays. The Boro opened up its takeout cafe concept on Dec. 21, 2020 in the Village of Dixboro. ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Pick up baked goods for breakfast or pizza for lunch at SavCo Hospitality’s latest concept, The Boro To Go. Reception of the to-go cafe experience, which opened on Dec. 21, 2020, has been very positive, according to Farah. Ann Arbor catering, carry-out eatery to take over Kerrytown location
ANN ARBOR, Mich. This fall, hungry eaters visiting the Kerrytown district in downtown Ann Arbor will notice a change. Eat Catering and Carry-out, a Packard Street eatery, will be taking over the spot left vacant by The Lunch Room Diner & Canteen in Kerrytown Market & Shops. The eatery will also offer brunch in addition to menu items similar to its Packard location offerings. Eat will keep its carry-out location on Packard Street. ANN ARBOR, Mich. Looking to enjoy a drink from your favorite Ann Arbor bar or restaurant at home? Gretchen Whitmer signed a bar and restaurant relief package giving Michigan bars and restaurants the green light to sell cocktails or mixed drinks to-go and via delivery. Through the bill, drinks can also be delivered but identification to verify age must be shown upon delivery. Ann Arbor bars and restaurants wasted no time getting creative and packaging drinks to-go. Many restaurants are also offering beer and wine to-go, along with various types of food.

From meal deals at Ann Arbor restaurants to virtual parades, weve found four ways to celebrate from home. Check these out:Virtual Jaycees ParadeFrom 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, the Ann Arbor Jaycees will hold a virtual parade in lieu of its annual in-person parade through downtown Ann Arbor. Ypsilanti will also host a virtual parade and flag ceremony from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Facebook. Many Ann Arbor restaurants are open all weekend, or have modified hours, and are serving takeout options with delivery or curbside service. Taste of Ann Arbor moves online and into your kitchen this year
ANN ARBOR, Mich. From May 29 to 31, the annual Taste of Ann Arbor event this year will be held digitally and in kitchens all around Ann Arbor. Main Street Area Association has moved the celebration of eating and Ann Arbor eateries online with creative contests and restaurant specials. Local foodies are also called to re-create their favorite dish from a downtown Ann Arbor restaurant and post their photos.
