September is definitely the start of fall. It’s also the month when you can celebrate two days that mark the start of fall. We are probably all familiar with a late September day touted as the beginning of fall. This late start to fall is called the astronomical start of fall, also called the autumnal equinox. The problem with astronomical fall is the day moves around a little bit each year.

Man carjacks teen at high school in Michigan’s Thumb, arrested in Indiana
SEBEWAING, MI — After carjacking a teenager at a high school in Michigan’s Thumb, a man was arrested in Indiana on his way to Florida, police said. Huron County sheriff’s deputies and Sebewaing police officers responded to Unionville-Sebewaing Area High School at 2203 Wildner Road for a carjacking report at about 7:04 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11. Another person in the parking lot put together what had happened and drove off in pursuit, following the Equinox down side roads into Tuscola County, Hanson said. The Detroit man -- who did not stop for the turning car -- was not paying attention at the time of the crash, Swanson said. “There was no alcohol, no speed (involved).”The sheriff’s office will present its findings to the Genesee County Prosecutor Office’s for review in the coming weeks upon completion of its investigation.

Equinox chief: We are taking a 'wait and see approach' on reopening gyms in Georgia
Food Network star Willie Degel said Thursday he does not plan to immediately open his restaurant in Georgia. Even President Donald Trump said earlier this week that he "totally disagrees" with Kemp's phase 1 reopening plans. Taking matters into its own hands, Equinox has created a team of medical experts to make a reopening plan, on a city-by-city basis, Spevak explained. "We also believe when we get on the other side of it ... there will be more demand for Equinox and SoulCycle. Spevak cited an internal survey that showed 74% of its current customers are planning to come back when Equinox reopens.
