Oakland County nurses to administer first COVID-19 vaccine booster doses this week
The Oakland County Health Division said it will launch its first clinics to administer the booster dose of Pfizerโs COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday, Sept. 29 in Southfield, with more clinics throughout the week in other locations.

Dozens of shots fired in Monroe neighborhood targeting car, 2 homes
MONROE, Mich. โ A vehicle parked on the driveway of a home in the 500 block of Conant Street in Monroe was shot at 15 times Friday around 10 p.m. while two separate homes in the area were also struck with gunfire, police say. When police arrived to the area after complaints about gunfire were made they found over 25 spent shell casings from different guns. As of Saturday there were no reports of injured victims, police say. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Monroe Police Department Detective Bureau.
73-year-old woman critically injured after unknown person fires shots into Detroit home

Police were called to a home in Detroit at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday regarding an incident where a child shot another child. Police said they believe the 18-month-old got ahold of an unsecured weapon and accidentally shot the 5-year-old.
Southwest Detroit family concerned for its safety after shooting outside home
DETROIT โ A family in southwest Detroit was fast asleep when someone opened fire outside their home. โThey almost got my daughter two feet from her head with a bullet,โ said Juan Navarro, whose house was shot up. The shooting happened early Saturday morning at Green and Lafayette in Southwest Detroit. This was really random, donโt know who did it,โ said Navarro. The Navarro family considered moving before and this random shooting has them concerned next time it might be worse.
Man drives to Detroit hospital after being shot on I-94, MSP investigating
DETROIT โ Michigan State Police opened an investigation into a shooting on I-94 Christmas night. According to authorities, a 47-year-old man drove himself to Ascension St. John Hospital on Moross Road, where he is being treated for a gunshot wound. Police said the man told staff in the emergency department of the hospital that he had been shot while on the eastbound lanes of I-94. His vehicle was towed to a Michigan State Police post for processing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Michigan State Police at 734-287-5000.

Troy police investigate shots fired in Somerset Parking lot
TROY, Mich. โ Police were investigating reports of shots fired Sunday evening in the parking lot on the south side of Somerset Collection in Troy. State police investigate shooting along I-94 near Moross in Detroit
DETROIT โ Michigan State Police are investigating a suspected freeway shooting reported early Thursday morning along I-94 on Detroitโs east side. Police said about 2:45 a.m. troopers were called to westbound I-94 near Chalmers Street for a shooting. A driver told troopers he was on westbound I-94 when someone in a black SUV started shooting at him. State police shut down westbound I-94 at Moross Road. Detroit Health Department moves immunization clinic to Midtown headquarters
DETROIT โ The Detroit Health Department officially announces the relocation of its Immunization Clinic from the Samaritan Center on the cityโs east side at 5555 Conner Street, to its headquarters at 100 Mack Avenue in Midtown. Health Department staff officially made the move to the new location on September 8, centrally located just steps from the Woodward Avenue and Mack Avenue bus lines. The Health Departmentโs newly relocated Immunization Clinic offers six newly-renovated examination rooms that will serve a higher volume of patients. โThe move to Midtown supports our mission to build healthy communities for all families,โ said Najibah Rehman, MD, MPH, Medical Director, Detroit Health Department. The Detroit Health Department Immunization Clinic is open by appointment only, Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. โ 4:30 p.m. To accommodate students participating in in-person learning at a Detroit charter or public school, the clinic will also open on Saturdays, 8 a.m. โ 4:30 p.m., now through November 1.
State police: Shots fired at semi truck on Southfield Freeway exit ramp to 7 Mile Road
DETROIT โ Someone opened fire on a semi truck Tuesday morning along the Southfield Freeway (M-39) near 7 Mile Road in Detroit. Michigan State Police said it happened about 6:20 a.m. on the northbound Southfield Freeway exit ramp to 7 Mile Road. A car pulled up alongside the semi truck and someone from inside the car fired multiple shots at the truck. The car was last seen traveling westbound on 7 Mile Road.
