Washington's King 1st Black female assistant position coach

She is the second woman in league history to be an assistant position coach after Tampa Bayโs assistant defensive line coach Lori Locust. King spent the 2020 season as a full-year coaching intern under Ron Rivera and worked with running backs coach Randy Jordan. โI am very pleased to have coach King back to assist me full time in the running backs room,โ Jordan said. Tampa Bay had two: Locust and assistant strength and conditioning coach Maral Javadifar, and coach Bruce Arians called women in coaching โthe wave of the future.โโThis game, itโs a tremendous game,โ Rivera said.

This year weโre gonna do it 2,000 more times,โ Duggan said. โIf you have a block club and you want to petition for an alley clean up, weโll come do it. White House begins talks with lawmakers on COVID-19 relief
At least a dozen senators met for an hour and 15 minutes in a virtual call with White House National Economic Council director Brian Deese and other senior White House officials. Many hope to approve a relief package before former President Donald Trump's trial, which is set to begin in two weeks, overtakes Washingtonโs attention. Senators also wanted more data on how the White House reached the $1.9 trillion figure. โIt was about how can we work together to help the people of this country.โWhite House coronavirus response coordinator Jeff Zients and White House legislative affairs director Louisa Terrell also joined the call. โWeโre going to continue to push because we canโt wait,โ said White House principal deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

Not much is known about the two visits Dr. King made to Michigan State University in the 1960s. Dr. King spoke passionately about achieving a world brotherhood perspective, abolishing the notion of superior and inferior races, and ridding the world of segregation. Donโt let the bullies with the rifles and shotguns intimidate you,โ said Dr. Green. And both Dr. Green who is now 87 and Washington, 76, more than 50 years later believe that much of what King spoke about in that speech is still being fought for today.

DETROIT โ Monday is the 35th official Martin Luther King Jr. Day. For many, MLK Day is just another day off -- a day to relax, a day to do things, do some community service. For one couple, the day means so much more to them because they were there the day King came to Detroit and debuted his original โI Have a Dreamโ speech on June 23, 1963. Somewhere in that crowd was a 22-year-old warrior for Civil Rights named Dorothy Dewberry-Aldridge. She and her husband, Dan Aldridge, have spent more than 60 years fighting for Civil Rights, equality and social justice.

2 children in hospital after father crashes ATV into Macomb County home, police say
SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ Two children and their father were taken to the hospital after an ATV crash in Macomb County. The crash happened around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at Wren and Cardinals streets in Shelby Township, according to authorities. Police said two children, ages nine and 12, were riding the ATV with their father when it slammed into a home on Cardinal Street near 22 Mile and Shelby roads. Officials believe the driver of the ATV was speeding on Wren Street and lost control in the dark at Cardinal Street and struck a house. โI had to make sure that kid was OK.โThe crash investigator for Shelby Township police was worried the children might not survive.
Delta adds insult to injury in hurricane-ravaged Louisiana

Police said he was wearing yellow and black pajama-style pants. He was also wearing black and white tennis shoes. NYC's new sex crimes chief has a background in nursing
NEW YORK The new head of New York City's sex crimes unit is not only a veteran investigator, but also a forensic nurse who has conducted the physical exams and evidence collection that are vital to solving such cases. Deputy Inspector Michael King started Monday as commander of the Special Victims Division. King, who has been with the New York Police Department for nearly 20 years, takes over a sex crimes unit that has gotten mixed reviews from victims, advocates and watchdogs in recent years. King was born in raised in Jamaica, moved to New York when he was 16 and in college earned the nickname Doogie Howser." John Miller, the NYPD's Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence and Counterterrorism, recommended King for the sex crimes post.

Bald eagle shows air superiority in Michigan, sends states drone into lake
Environmental quality analyst and drone pilot Hunter King said he had completed about seven minutes of the mapping flight when satellite reception became spotty. King pressed a button to return the $950 drone to him and was viewing his video screen when the drone began to twirl. Two birdwatchers who were nearby saw the bird attack something but told officials they didnt realize it was a drone. The drone sent 27 warning notifications in the 3.5 seconds that it took to spiral to the water, including one noting that a propeller was missing. Data later revealed that it landed in 4 feet of water about 150 feet offshore.
