State police search for man in connection with July stabbing at Royal Oak Township hotel
ROYAL OAK TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ Michigan State Police (MSP) are searching for a man in connection to a stabbing of a 49-year-old man in July at the Baymont Hotel in Royal Oak Township. Request for Information: Troopers from the Metro North Post responded to a stabbing at the Baymont Hotel in Royal Oak Township on July 4, 2020. According to a tweet, MSP located the victim at a gas station on the Detroit side of Eight Mile Road. 49-year-old man stabbed multiple times at Royal Oak Township hotel, police say
ROYAL OAK TOWNSHIP, Mich. Michigan State Police (MSP) are investigating a stabbing at a Royal Oak Township hotel that left a man in serious condition Saturday morning. According to a tweet from MSP Metro Detroit, around 6 a.m. 49-year-old man was stabbed during an argument with an individual in the third-floor hallway of the Baymont by Wyndham hotel. MSP Metro Detroit (@mspmetrodet) July 4, 2020The victim was taken to the hospital and listed in serious condition. Police investigate shooting in Royal Oak Township
ROYAL OAK TOWNSHIP, Mich. Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting in the 21000 block of Ithaca Avenue early Thursday morning. Officials say at around 1:30 a.m. a man and woman were driving a mini van through the parking lot of the Oakdale Apartments when they heard multiple gunshots hit their vehicle. Police say the driver of the mini van fled the scene and called the police following the incident. Officials say evidence was recovered from the scene of the shooting. This is an ongoing investigation led by the Metro North Post of the Michigan State Police.
Blood trail from crash leads troopers to marijuana grow op in Royal Oak Township
ROYAL OAK TWP., Mich. - Police in Royal Oak Township are working to figure out what led to a shooting Thursday morning in the 2300 block of Garden Lane. At about 1:10 a.m. Michigan State Police troopers responded to the area on the report of a possible shooting. They found a GMC pickup truck crashed into a utility pole and a trail of blood that led to a nearby house. The blood trail led troopers to the side door handle of the house. Troopers went inside the home to try to find a gunshot victim, but the house was empty.
1 person shot in suspected carjacking in Royal Oak Township
ROYAL OAK TWP., Mich. - One person has been shot in what's believed to be a robbery and carjacking Thursday morning in Royal Oak Township. (Michigan State Police)ROYAL OAK TOWNSHIP, Mich. - A driver who was pulled over for an improper lane change in Royal Oak Township was caught hiding a Glock 17 pistol that had been stolen during a Livonia gun store break-in in 2016, police said. During a search of the vehicle, troopers said they found a Glock 17 pistol with a loaded magazine. Investigators said the driver doesn't have a concealed pistol license and the gun had been reported as stolen. Police said the gun was stolen Oct. 13, 2016, during a break-in at Gun Barn in Livonia.
