Report: 3 Cedar Point employees test positive for coronavirus
Three employees at Cedar Point have tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19), according to a report from FOX 8 in Cleveland. The park employees were screened, as required by state guidelines, prior to park opening and prior to reporting to their work locations, FOX 8 reports. Cedar Point opened to visitors last week for general admission reservations with safety precautions in place. Visitors have to undergo a health screening in addition to wearing masks while going on rides. The lines might appear longer since visitors are required to stand six feet apart. Gretchen Whitmers executive order on face masks takes effect at 12:01 a.m. Monday, July 13. Under the order people are required to wear a face mask in indoor public spaces and crowded outdoor spaces.

The amusement park plans to open its gates Thursday after the COVID-19 health crisis delayed the start of the season. The new normal at Cedar Point will require everyone over the age of two to wear a face mask, even on the rides which the staff has tested. In reality the lines will be shorter since theyโre going to start off by allowing only 20% capacity into the parkโWe know we have enough room for people to spread out,โ said Jason McClure, Cedar Point GM. Adjusting to these new rules will be hard, but theyโve got a team of staff with new roles to enforce these safety guidelines.

Cedar Point fans took to social media to complain, claiming Cedar Point's quality would suffer with such a merger. Cedar Point is to good to become Six Flags. That means Six Flags could ultimately own Cedar Point and Knott's Berry Farm.

Cedar Point roller coaster closed after 'trains bump'
A roller coaster at Cedar Point was closed Thursday after the trains bumped, the park said. The incident took place Wednesday on the Valravn roller coaster. Yesterday afternoon, a train on the Valravn roller coaster bumped a parked train in the loading station, Cedar Points Tony Clark told NBC affiliate WKYC. Cedar Point provides safe atmosphere for guests with autism during Autism Awareness Week
SANDUSKY, Ohio โ In partnership with the Autism Society of America, Autism Awareness Week at Cedar Point is this week, and there are new features at the roller coaster park that are safe and friendly toward guests with autism. A new sensory room was added in the park earlier this year, and it is a great place for guests with autism to go during Autism Awareness Week. The room provides a quiet area for families and sensory tools to interact with. Along with the sensory room, other quiet spaces are available. Cedar Point has also provided a list of locations that use strobe lighting and other lighting effects.
