No criminal charges are being filed against a Roseville police officer who shot and killed an armed man in April after an investigation left the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office without “any evidence to substantiate” charges against the officer.

Warren police said a burglary suspect made a promise he wasn’t going back to jail before he tried to run officers over. Everything started at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday at the Knights Inn on Dequindre Road, on the Warren and Madison Heights border. “He’s responsible for these business burglaries in different cities including Warren, Frazier, Clinton Township,” said Commissioner Bill Dwyer with Warren Police. But Warren Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer said when officers moved in, he attacked.

A statement from Wolfe City said Officer Shaun Lucas, 22, was fired for “his egregious violation” of city and police department policy. He said witnesses have said Price was “too far away to even be considered as reaching for the” stun gun. When Lucas produced a stun gun, Price began to walk away.
Judge dismisses lawsuit over fatal shooting of man by Marquette County deputy
MARQUETTE, Mich. A judge has ruled in favor of an Upper Peninsula police officer and dismissed a lawsuit over the fatal shooting of a man who had threatened to kill himself. Marquette County sheriffs deputy Keith Romback said he went to Clifford Tucker's home in Ishpeming Township in 2016 because the former logger was despondent over chronic pain and threatening to end his life. Romback told Tucker he was there to help him. The deputy followed Tucker to a bedroom where the 68-year-old veteran picked up a shotgun. The deputy reasonably concluded that Tucker posed a credible threat of serious harm, U.S. District Judge Paul Maloney said on Aug. 28.
Mid-Michigan man dies after confrontation with officers
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. A mid-Michigan man has died following a chase and confrontation with officers, police said. The 22-year-old Marshall man was driving toward officers when they opened fire on him early Saturday, the Battle Creek Police Department said. Two Battle Creek officers traveling in the same patrol vehicle attempted to stop a suspected drunken driver whose SUV was veering into oncoming lanes of traffic, police said. As officers walked toward the SUV, the man suddenly drove toward them, and the three officers shot into the vehicle, police said. Investigators said its unclear how many shots were fired, and whether any of the shots hit the man.

Guardado's family filed a wrongful death lawsuit on Monday against the county, the Sheriff's Department and deputies involved in the shooting. The Sheriffs Department has not released Kizzees name, but two relatives confirmed his identity. You dont take care of us, said Kizzees aunt, Fletcher Fair, addressing the Sheriff's Department. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the largest in the nation, does not have body cameras for deputies, though that soon will change.

Matthews said he was putting on his uniform shorts about 20 minutes before the game was set to begin Wednesday when the Bucks decided they wouldn't play. The Magic refused to accept the forfeit and NBA players stood behind the Bucks, even though some were frustrated the Bucks acted alone without consulting them. Matthews apologized for that but said the aftermath has confirmed for the Bucks that they made the right decision.
Detroit police: Man shot by officer armed, selling drugs at gas station
DETROIT A 27-year-old man was shot by a Detroit police officer on the citys west side on Sunday night. Detroit Police Chief James Craig says the investigation is young, but was able to provide some details during a news conference Monday afternoon. According to Craig, police assigned to the area noticed the man carrying a concealed weapon outside of a green light gas station around 11 p.m. in the area of Plymouth Road and Wyoming Avenue. One officer fired between five and six rounds of his weapon at the suspect, officials said. Officials say the man continued to run after he was struck.

On Nov. 3, 2018 a Shelby Township police officer shot and killed 25-year-old Kanwarbir Malhi, who was allegedly armed and acting aggressively toward police. Officials say Malhi, of Shelby Township, had stolen a car from his parents, who called police to report the theft. Protesters in Portland have already been facing off with federal agents over the last few days, and tensions are rising in Chicago. AdThe White House released on Wednesday that federal agents are expected to be sent to Detroit over the next three weeks.

DELTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Michigan man who refused to wear a mask inside a store was later shot and killed by a deputy after he stabbed another customer during an argument about the mask issue, police said. Investigators said the argument happened around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Quality Dairy store in Dimondale. The argument ended with a 77-year-old Lansing man suffering from stab wounds. The manager of the store said Sean Ernest Ruis, 43, of Grand Ledge, stabbed the 77-year-old man simply because he asked Ruis to put on a mask. Video shows Ruis walking toward the deputy, who said Ruis was armed with a knife.
