mlive.comHigh interest rates equal picky buyers. You have to stage to sell, experts say.

It’s time for sellers to get competitive again and that means investing in curb appeal, experts say. With the Federal Reserve’s latest interest rate hike, a 30-year mortgage is now above 6% and buyers are getting picky, Rochester Hills realtor Julie Rea said. “If you think making a house look appealing isn’t that big of a deal, it really is right now because these buyers are feeling pinched,” she said. For that reason, Rea suggests sellers wait to sell furniture until after the deal is closed.
