Making your own flower bouquet can be simply beautiful
Weโve all heard the term โBYOB,โ and usually it refers to bringing your own bottle (drink) to a gathering, but for flower shop โCasa De Fleur Detroit,โ the term has a different meaning, โbuild your own bouquet.โ The shopโs owner Karina Herrera stopped by โLive in the Dโ and walked through making a bouquet with host Tati Amare. Herrera says customers are the artists, and they can walk into the coolers, pick out flowers of all types, and get creative with the help of experts. Customers can create bouquets for their home or as a special gift for someone. โWe are dedicated to providing smiles, and making special occasions more memorable,โ Herrera said.

Lush garden walk where legends bloom
Detroit Abloom is hosting its annual โLe Detroitโ event, a self-guided garden walk where guests can learn about five local and mysterious legends among a sea of flowers and lush greens. The legends are based on true events that happened in the late 18th century here in Detroit, and contain all the usually spooky suspects, like werewolves, goblins, and mysterious nuns. Director Tom Milano spoke to Tati Amare about the event and about Detroit Abloom. Now the farm is home to a variety of flowers, plus a native plant nursery, and a butterfly nursery and education center. The garden depends entirely on the help of volunteers and works to connect with the community with a series of events like tomorrowโs โLe Detroitโ event.
