43-year-old injured by unknown shooter in Detroit
DETROIT – Police are searching for an unknown shooter who injured a 43-year-old man on Saturday, Oct. 25 during a shooting. The shooting happened around 6:50 p.m. in the 14300 block of Maddelein Street in Detroit. Police say the victim was getting out of his car when shots were fired by the shooter from the inside of an unknown vehicle. The victim suffered a grazed wound and was released at the scene by medics. She was being held by Taylor police for questioning. Police said they were in no rush because of the 1-year-old child being involved.

The shooting took place around 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 17000 block of Ivanhoe in Roseville. According to police, the shooting took place after two people were showing each other their illegal handguns. “It appears the shooting was accidental by all of the people present who are cooperating with investigators,” the Roseville Police Department stated in a press release. Police say the shooter is being held at the Roseville Police Department as the investigation continues.

According to police, a gunman took a man and woman hostage inside the home early Tuesday morning. Police said they tried to pull over the gunman at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday in Redford Township, but he took off. Original reports stated the man fired at officers, but police later clarified he did not fire directly at officers -- he just fired a shot. He’s also made threats against police officers, Craig said.

He was arrested by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in a gas station in Enfield, Nova Scotia, northwest of downtown Halifax. “I never imagined when I went to bed last night that I would wake up to the horrific news that an active shooter was on the loose in Nova Scotia," Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil. Christine Mills, a resident of the town, said it had been a frightening night for the small town, with armed officers patrolling the streets. Taggart said he didn’t know Wortman well, but spoke to him a few times when he telephoned about municipal issues.
