Walled Lake man fatally shot by police after killing wife, shooting daughter
WALLED LAKE, MI – A man was shot and killed by police early Sunday in Walled Lake after authorities say he killed his wife and dog and shot his daughter. Bouchard did not release the identity of the woman killed but said she was the man’s wife and 56 years old. The daughter wasn’t able to provide a specific address, but dispatch was able to triangulate the call to the area of Glenwood Drive in Walled Lake. The officers then encountered the daughter, who was shot in the back and legs and attempting to crawl out of the home. 3 in custody after ‘absolutely despicable’ torture, murder of homeless man in Pontiac
PONTIAC, MI – Three people are in custody following the torture and murder of a homeless man in Oakland County. Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard called the crime “absolutely despicable,” according to Fox 2 in Detroit, and he planned to seek the highest possible charges in the case. The 51-year-old man from Pontiac was found nude, wrapped in a blanket and plastic bag, near the shoreline of Terry Lake around 1:30 p.m. on March 25, the TV station reported. The three people in custody are considered persons of interest. Authorities: Charges possible for person who 'aided' Oxford suspects
Today, authorities captured and formally charged James and Jennifer Crumbley for their alleged role in the deaths of four Oxford High School students. Investigators say they're now looking into another person who may have helped the Crumbleys hide. Oakland County sheriff Mike Bouchard says that person could be charged in the coming days with aiding and abetting or obstruction of justice charges. Bouchard says the couple went on the run after the Oakland County prosecutor announced their charges. BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. – A Bloomfield Hills man who used to be president of the Oakland Hills Caddie Scholarship Fund has been arrested for embezzling nearly $700,000 from the trust for his own personal use, according to officials. Oakland Hills officials requested a forensic audit, which revealed $697,000 had been embezzled and converted for Maass’ personal use, police said. They have to serve search warrants on banks and serve document warrants,” Bouchard said. Bouchard said Maass went to court assuming he’d get released in time for the Super Bowl. Maass didn’t make it to the Super Bowl.

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – The Local 4 Defenders took an exclusive look at a military training facility in Northern Michigan where Oakland County deputies practice emergency situations. “Over here, this is a mocked up police station,” Oakland County Capt. “There are so many different scenarios we might face,” Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard said. In one situation deputies entered a building as if it was a hostage situation. The hostage situation was moved to other locations and deputies practiced again.
Prowler caught on camera wanted for touching woman inside Troy home

They escalated in July when police said the man in the video went into a Troy home and touched a woman. Police said he's connected to that incident and four other peeping incidents, and likely several more. 'We're the hostage in this situation:' Oakland County sheriff says of Gov. Whitmer's budget vetoes
PONTIAC, Mich. - We're seeing more fallout from the unprecedented 147 line-item vetoes Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer used on the budgets presented to her by the Republican-led Legislature. She used her line-item veto power and cut nearly $1 billion out of the budget. Her line-item vetoes included nixing $375 million for roads, which means it's back to the drawing board for Whitmer and the Legislature. The vetoes are part of a strategy to force the Legislature to wheel and deal on a roads fix, among other hot button funding issues.

A seaplane crash-landed in Michigan and caught on fire after the crash. The pilot and a passenger were taken to the hospital but appear to have minor injuries, and no one on the ground was injured.
