DETROIT โ A 44-year-old man was killed Thursday in a hit-and-run crash on Detroitโs west side, police said. The incident happened around 12:20 a.m. Thursday in the area of Schoolcraft and Greenfield roads, according to authorities. DETROIT โ Police are asking for assistance in locating the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened Monday at 10:55 p.m. in the area of East 8 Mile Road and Russell. The driver of the Durango never stopped after hitting the victim. Police say the vehicle was last seen traveling south on Schoenherr and making a left onto Bringard Drive traveling east. As of Monday afternoon police had located the vehicle, but were still in search of the driver. Police find man injured in hit-and-run in middle of road on Detroitโs west side
DETROIT โ Police found a man who had been injured in a hit-and-run crash lying in the middle of the road on Detroitโs west side. Officers said the 45-year-old man was found around 5:30 a.m. Monday in the 5500 block of Proctor Street, near Cecil Avenue an I-94. Investigators determined he had been the victim of a hit-and-run crash. The driver was seen leaving the area in a gray Chevrolet Silverado, according to authorities. The Silverado was last seen heading north on McGraw Avenue and west on Central Avenue.
Man charged in connection to fatal Ray Township hit-and-run crash
RAY TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ Jerel Robinson, 46, was arraigned by the Macomb County Prosecutorโs Office on two felony counts Thursday. He was taken into custody Wednesday in connection to a fatal hit-and-run crash in Ray Township. The crash happened around 7 a.m. Tuesday in the area of 27 Mile and Romeo Plank roads. Macomb County deputies said Joseph Frank Jaye, 53, of Ray Township, was was riding a bicycle north on Romeo Plank Road toward 27 Mile Road when he was struck by a vehicle. Robinson was charged with failure to stop at the scene of an accident resulting serious impairment or death and failure to stop at the scene of an accident when at fault resulting in death.
Driver wanted in fatal hit-and-run of I-94 construction worker turns himself in, police say
ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. โ A driver suspected of killing a construction worker earlier this week in a hit-and-run crash on I-94 has turned himself in, according to police. The crash happened around 3 p.m. Monday in the eastbound lanes of I-94 near Nine Mile Road in St. Clair Shores, officials said. Macomb County deputies said Joseph Frank Jjaye, 53, of Ray Township, was was riding a bicycle north on Romeo Plank Road toward 27 Mile Road when he was struck by a vehicle. Residents said the Ray Township intersection would have been busy around the time Jjaye was struck. A 46-year-old Ray Township man was taken into custody Wednesday morning.

Police say the hit-and-run took place in the area of Gratiot and Harper. The victim, a 43-year-old man, was riding his bicycle southbound down the center turn lane of Gratiot when he was fatally struck head on by a gold H2 Hummer traveling north. The driver did not stop and continued traveling north on Gratiot. BIRMINGHAM, Mich. โ The family of a man killed by a hit-and-run driver in Birmingham said they arenโt going to stop demanding answers until an arrest has been made in the case. Wesley Stamps, 40, was crossing Woodward Avenue near Maple Road just before 2 a.m. Aug. 8 when he was struck and killed, police said. His son was well-known in Birmingham, and chose to live in the streets, according to the family. โIf you know that car, if you worked on that vehicle, just call and let us know,โ Ramsey said. โItโs never too late to do the right thing,โ Stamps' sister, Tara Gail, said.
Teenager critically injured in hit-and-run Livingston County crash
LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mich. Police are asking for help with finding out who left a teen critically injured after hitting him in the streets. However, life is going to slow down for Lewis Higgins, the victim of a hit-and-run. Witnesses say it was a newer model white Ford F-150 that hit Lewis and crashed. From a University of Michigan hospital room, Lewis parents spoke about how hard it has been to get through the whole thing. Those with any information on the car suspected of hitting the teen are being asked to contact the Livingston County Sheriffs Department.
Driver in deadly Sterling Heights hit-and-run crash arrested after separate Troy incident
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. โ More details have emerged in the case of a deadly Sterling Heights hit-and-run crash that happened Thursday. The driver responsible for the crash at Metro Parkway and Ryan Road is a 58-year-old Sterling Heights resident. Police say the driver fled the scene of the crash, but was found shortly after by Troy police in a separate incident. The Troy incident happened near Big Beaver and Dequindre roads when a man was turning out of a strip mall and the Sterling Heights hit-and-run driver turned into the same mall. The hit-and-run driver stuck around and was arrested by Sterling Heights police.
