Amber Alert canceled: Madison Heights children found safe with family in Toledo
MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. โ An Amber Alert issued Friday morning for a 4-month-old child and 1-year-old child in Madison Heights has been canceled after the children were found safe in Toledo. Madison Heights police said the children were found safe with family. Police originally believed the children had been kidnapped by an 18-year-old man was believed to be armed. The Amber Alert was issued early Friday morning warning the man may be headed to Detroit or Toledo with the children. Police said the man had assaulted the childrenโs father and took the children at gunpoint.

They had been searching for 2-year-old Phoenix Javon Washington is believed to have been taken by 26-year-old Phoenix Washington. They were reported missing Monday morning from 3209 West Michigan Avenue in Lansing Township. Father in custody after allegedly abducting daughter at gunpoint in Southfield
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. โ A young child was found safe Monday night after being abducted from her family at gunpoint in Southfield. An Amber Alert was issued Monday afternoon after Jaliyah Ford, 1, was allegedly abducted by her father Jeremy Ford around 2 p.m. in a parking lot near West Nile Road. As police began searching for the girl, people who parked in the lot started noticing their vehicles had been damaged by shots fired by the father amid the abduction. A woman who did not want to go on camera had to have her tire replaced after it was punctured from one of the shots fired. Jaliyah Fordโs father is now in police custody after turning himself in on Monday evening, returning his child to police unharmed.

The FBI contributed $5,000 toward the reward for information leading to Dulce or the identification of someone involved in her disappearance. The Cumberland County Prosecutor's office offered another $5,000, and the Newfield National Bank is contributing $10,000 to the reward, officials said.
