Metro Detroit weather: Brighter skies with cool temperatures
DETROIT – Sunshine got us into the 40s Wednesday afternoon, and even warmer temperatures await as the weekend approaches. Precipitation will begin close to daybreak on Sunday morning, possibly as a quick wintry mix, before transitioning to all liquid. Expect partly cloudy skies and highs slightly above normal in the upper 40s. Morning temperatures will start in the upper 30s for America’s Thanksgiving Parade in downtown Detroit.
Metro Detroit weather: Chilly Saturday evening; Wind Advisory set for Sunday
DETROIT – A Wind Advisory is in effect for Detroit and all of Southeast Michigan from 7 a.m. Sunday until midnight. Wet weather arrives after midnight with temperatures staying steady then rising on a southerly wind. Skies will be cloudy and it remains chilly. Afternoon temperatures will be in the low 40s. Metro Detroit weather: Warm week ahead of weekend rain
It’s smooth sailing as we head into the weekend, which won’t be completely dry. Even our morning starts won’t be as chilly, with mid and upper 50s expect most days this week. Highs will continue to rise to the upper 70s the next few days. The National Weather Service has issued the advisory, which takes effect at midnight until 9 a.m. on Saturday. Clear Saturday night, with lows in the low to mid 40s (5 to 7 degrees Celsius). Mostly sunny on Sunday, and a tad warmer with highs in the mid 60s (18 degrees Celsius). Clear Sunday night, with lows in the mid 40s (7 degrees Celsius).
