Celebrates International Chocolate Day with Jojos Treats n' Sweets
Jojos Treats n' Sweets owner Joanne McGinn stopped by via Zoom to share some of the unique chocolates and desserts offered at her store. In addition to the classic white, milk, and dark chocolates, Jojos has several unique flavors and styles of candies. One unique chocolate option Jojos offers is their ruby chocolate, made from a rare breed of cacao. She also says they carry a Swiss chocolate that doesnt contain soy lecithin, which makes it a great option for anyone who cant have soy. McGinn also showed off her technique for making Jojos popular chocolate and caramel covered pretzels.
Hostess Brands issue recall on certain products due to potential for mold
Hostess Brands, LLC issued a recall notice on Tuesday for certain food products due to a potential for mold. The company is recalling certain Hostess Raspberry Zingers due to a potential for mold to develop prior to the labeled best by date. Officials say the recalled products have been sold at grocery stores, dollar and discount stores, convenience stores, mass merchandisers and distributors across the U.S. Anyone with questions can contact customer service at 800-483-7253 between 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Officials say the recall does not affect any other products sold by Hostess Brands.
