Motorcyclist dies after crash in Dearborn Heights
DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI – One person is dead after a crash involving a motorcycle and a car Thursday evening on Ford Road in Dearborn Heights, police said. It happened at the intersection of Ford and Beech Daly roads, FOX 2 Detroit reports. The identity of the victim, who was driving the motorcycle, has not been released, the report said. The incident is under investigation. No further details have been released.

The Arab American News learned that approximately 100 homeowners in the area north of Hemlock Avenue between Schaefer and Miller Roads on the city’s east side reported 2-3 inches of water back up in their basements to the city. The city’s sewer system is designed to handle 3 inches of rain within 24 hours. Dearborn is one of 43 community in the Rouge River watershed.

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. – Police in Dearborn Heights are looking for woman in connection with a Thursday morning bank robbery. According to authorities, the the robbery happened at about 11 a.m. at the Bank of America located near the intersection of Ford and Telegraph roads. DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. – At least two people were shot in Inkster early Wednesday morning in a neighborhood near Henry Ruff and Michigan Avenue. The incident later led to a deadly crash on Ford Road near Inkster Road in Dearborn Heights. The crash occurred when people were being rushed to the hospital. The condition of the Eddie, as well as the other men who were shot, is unknown at time. Dearborn police looking for driver in connection to hit-and-run of bicyclist
DEARBORN, Mich. Dearborn police are seeking the public help in identifying the drive of a four-door sedan in connection with a hit-and-run incident with a bicyclist on May 28. Police say at around 2:30 p.m. a bicyclist was crossing Bingham Street when they collided with a silver sedan entering southbound Bingham Street from Ford Road. The driver of the vehicle continued driving following the incident. The bicyclist did sustain injuries but has been released from the hospital and is in recovery, officials said. Man killed in crash on I-275 near Ann Arbor Road
CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – All northbound lanes of I-275 were closed for hours Monday morning at Ford Road in Canton Township after a deadly crash. The northbound side of the interstate was closed for several hours but has since reopened to traffic. Michigan State Police said a preliminary investigation found that a semi truck was parked with its hazard lights activated on the right shoulder of the northbound side of I-275 near Ann Arbor Road. A car driven by a 37-year-old man, of Milford, drove off the roadway and struck the truck trailer. The semi truck driver was not injured.

Stolen pickup truck crashes into Emagine Canton movie theatre; ATM smashed
CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Canton Township police are investigating a pickup truck that smashed into the Emagine movie theatre on Ford Road about 3:45 a.m. Wednesday. The pickup truck was stolen from an apartment complex across the street. There were people working inside the theatre at the time, but no one was hurt. About six or seven doors were taken out by what police said is a stolen pickup truck. The pickup was used as a battering ram to smash into the ATM inside the theatre lobby.

Dearborn Police investigate death of Taylor woman, reward offered for information
The 34-year-old woman was found in a field just north of Home Depot on Ford Road in Dearborn. After responding officers and Detroit Fire Department immediately rendered aid to the woman, Detroit Fire Department pronounced the woman deceased at the scene. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Dearborn Police Department at (313) 943-2241. Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest of those wanted in connection with the incident.
