DETROIT – Police are looking for two men accused of stealing a woman’s vehicle at gunpoint on Detroit’s west side Friday night. Police say at about 11:40 p.m. on Feb. 12, a 27-year-old woman was near a gas pump at gas station in the 15300 block of Wyoming Avenue when an armed suspect exited an unknown vehicle and walked over to her. The suspect, described as a Black man wearing dark clothing and a black surgical mask, announced a hold up and took the woman’s cell phone. Officials say the man then entered the woman’s red 2011 Ford Taurus and drove away. The second suspect, who was only described as a man, also fled the scene in the other, unknown vehicle.

DETROIT – A 25-year-old man was killed early Thursday morning when his vehicle crashed on the southbound side of the Lodge Freeway (M-10) at the Wyoming Avenue exit ramp. Michigan State Police said troopers were dispatched about 2:55 a.m. Thursday to the Wyoming Avenue exit ramp. A preliminary investigation found the man’s vehicle had been traveling south on the Lodge Freeway when he failed to negotiate the curve at Wyoming Avenue. He proceeded straight into the exit ramp, jumping the curb and crossing the berm, police said. The vehicle’s excessive speed launched it across the berm and over the entrance ramp, crashing into the berm on the other side.

DETROIT – A man who was recently released from prison two years early is accused of shooting his fiancée and her mother on Detroit’s west side. The 49-year-old man is accused of shooting his fiancée and her 64-year-old mother after the mother attempted to break up the altercation and called the police. However, a judge recently authorized Segars’ compassionate release from prison amid the coronavirus pandemic and due to medical reasons. The judge said he agreed to release the man from prison early due to a clean disciplinary record behind bars. Her mother was recently released from the hospital, officials say.

DETROIT – Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man wanted in connection to Nov. 4 vehicle theft on Detroit’s west side. According to authorities, it happened at about 7:15 a.m. at a gas station near the intersection of Wyoming Avenue and Joy Road. Police said the suspect exited a stolen 2008 Honda Odyssey, entered an unoccupied 2013 Chevrolet Traverse that was left unlocked and running at the gas pump and left the location in the vehicle. DETROIT – Police are looking for Tabitha Brown, a 15-year-old girl who went missing Friday. According to authorities, she was last seen at about 6:30 p.m. when she left her residence in the 8700 block of Orangelawn Street, between Ohio Street and Wyoming Avenue. It was reported that Tabitha Brown is in good physical and mental condition. DETROIT – The body of a 62-year-old tow truck driver was found Saturday laying on the Lodge Service Drive. According to authorities, the man was found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds at about 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of the John C Lodge Service Drive and Wyoming Avenue. DETROIT Detroit police are investigating an incident involving gunfire that happened Friday afternoon in the area of Plymouth Road and Wyoming Avenue. Police say a shot was fired around 3 p.m. as officers tried stopping a man. Police say as the man ran from police he pulled out a gun. When officers heard the gun go off they grabbed the man and arrested him. According to police, although the gun went off, the man was not intentionally trying to target officers.

DETROIT A 27-year-old man was shot by a Detroit police officer on the citys west side on Sunday night. Detroit Police Chief James Craig says the investigation is young, but was able to provide some details during a news conference Monday afternoon. According to Craig, police assigned to the area noticed the man carrying a concealed weapon outside of a green light gas station around 11 p.m. in the area of Plymouth Road and Wyoming Avenue. One officer fired between five and six rounds of his weapon at the suspect, officials said. Officials say the man continued to run after he was struck.

OHara is described as standing 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 260 pounds and having brown hair and brown eyes. Officials say he is in good physical condition but may suffer from mental complications. DETROIT Michigan State Police (MSP) have issued an endangered missing advisory for a missing Detroit woman. Anita Randall, 64, was last seen at her home near 8 Mile Road and Wyoming Avenue. Randall is described as a white woman who is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds and has short gray hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a light red hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and black shoes with white bottoms. DETROIT - A 34-year-old man was taken to a hospital after being shot on Detroit's west side, police said. The shooting happened around 1:10 p.m. Wednesday in the 12700 block of Wyoming Avenue in Detroit, according to authorities. Officers said they were called to a vacant home in the area and found the 34-year-old man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is listed as stable, officials said. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unclear, police said.
