DETROIT – Witnesses reported two vehicles exchanging gunfire while speeding down I-96 about 10 p.m. Monday. One of them was struck by another vehicle on I-96 while trying to flee the scene of the crash on foot. The vehicles -- a Dodge Charger and a Dodge SUV -- eventually crashed along the westbound I-96 express lanes near Schaefer Highway. The third victim was in the other vehicle involved in the shooting. However, another vehicle, that was not involved in the shooting or crash, ended up fatally striking this person.

Authorities digging in basement at Galaxy Coney Island in Detroit
DETROIT – Law enforcement are digging in the basement of a coney island restaurant in Detroit. Auburn Hills police and FBI agents have been executing at search warrant at Galaxy Coney Island at Schaefer Highway and West Grand River Avenue. There are reports that there may be a body buried in the basement of the restaurant.
Woman found alive at Detroit funeral home after being declared dead
DETROIT – After a 20-year-old Southfield woman was declared dead on Sunday, a funeral home discovered she was still breathing -- and very much alive. Sources tell Local 4 the woman was found in cardiac arrest inside her home in Southfield on Sunday morning. Teen fatally shoots man accused of viciously beating mother in Detroit
DETROIT – Detroit police said a 14-year-old boy fatally shot his mother’s 38-year-old boyfriend early Friday morning because the boyfriend was assaulting his mother. Witnesses said there was chaos in front of the teen’s home at 1 a.m. on Friday. The boyfriend is accused of viciously beating the teen’s mother. Police said the teen grabbed a gun and fired multiple times, killing the 38-year-old. Police said he has been released to the custody of his mother pending the results of the investigation.

13-year-old boy killed in accidental shooting on Detroit’s west side
DETROIT – According to authorities, a 13-year-old boy was killed Saturday in a Detroit home when a gun he was mishandling discharged. The incident happened at about 3:30 p.m. at a home on Cheyenne Street, near Plymouth Road and the Schaefer Highway. Police said there we no adults at home at the time of the shooting, but another minor was home. The boy was rushed to a hospital, where he died. The investigation is ongoing.

Driver killed in I-96 rollover crash in Detroit
DETROIT – Michigan State Police are investigating a fatal single car crash that killed a 22-year-old man in Detroit on Saturday. Police say around 4 p.m. the Detroit man was traveling westbound at a high speed on the I-96 local lanes exit to Grand River Avenue and Schaefer Highway when he lost control of the vehicle. The man hit the wall at the base of the ramp and then rolled down the freeway, officials said. According to police the man was ejected from the vehicle. Officials say excessive speed and failure to wear a seatbelt are factors in the single car crash.
Man in critical condition after shooting on Detroit’s west side
DETROIT – A 28-year-old man was shot while allegedly walking in Detroit on Saturday afternoon. The victim was allegedly walking around 4 p.m. in the area of Miami and Edsel streets when a Burgundy Buick Enclave pulled up to him and a man exited the passenger side of the vehicle. Police say the man argued with the victim over a cellphone and then allegedly shot the victim multiple times. The victim was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition. The shooter is described as a black man with a dark complexion wearing a black t-shirt, black jeans and is armed.

DETROIT – Detroit police are looking for three men after a man was robbed while walking Friday on the city’s west side. Two men got out, and one of the men fired shots in the air before the pair announced a robbery. He was last seen wearing a red bandanna on his forehead, a white T-shirt with a teddy bear on it and black pants. The second man, who fired the shots, is black with a beard and has his hair in a high-top fade. 12-year-old boy critically injured when car crashes into semi truck trailer on I-94 in Dearborn
DEARBORN, Mich. – A 12-year-old boy suffered critical injuries during a crash Friday morning on eastbound I-94 in Dearborn. Two lanes on eastbound I-94 have been blocked for hours near Schaefer Highway. Police said the Chrysler crashed into the truck when the truck was getting up to speed when entering eastbound I-94 from Schaefer Highway. The female driver of the Chrysler suffered serious injuries to her legs, police said. The truck driver was not hurt.

Man critically injured in hit-and-run on Detroit's west side
DETROIT - A 29-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck Sunday by a tan Chevrolet Silverado. According to authorities, the man was crossing Schaefer Highway by Curtis Street when he was struck at about 8:15 p.m.Police said the driver kept going.
