Last week on SNL, host Regé-Jean Page rocked pearl brooches during his opening monologue, and Local style editor Jon Jordan says that this is just the start of jewelry coming back into men’s fashion. It seems that young guys are embracing the trend a bit more readily, but it really can work for anyone. He said that it works for both formal and informal occasions, and it can be as easy as adding a simple metal clip if you’re not ready for pearls. NOW studios gives visitors opportunity to ask questions, explore, experience change and play
Owned by Petals and Bubbles Sandcastle, the studios are a springboard for change and to dismantle unproductive mindsets. That space allowed community members to pay their own price and use the space for anything, from music festivals to moth storytelling. Community members can choose from three price points or pick their own price. NOW studios is a safe space to explore, express and process, and spaces like the downtown Ann Arbor studio seem to work. Community members can tune into NOW programming via live streaming and social media platforms.

How graffiti is being transformed into beautiful jewelry
Mitch Albom first met with Rebel Nell in 2014, a company that makes the majority of their products out of graffiti. Albom says he was drawn to the company because of their mission to provide employment opportunities to underserved women in Detroit. Since the pandemic began, Rebel Nell started a nonprofit wing of their organization to protect their employees. Each piece from Rebel Nell is one of a kind, and is made out of recycled materials.
