The announcement marks the beginning of the public phase of the $6 million campaign. As a result, Feeding America West Michigan acquired a substantially larger facility in Kentwood last year. Feeding America West Michigan, on Tuesday, received a leading gift of $2 million from longtime supporter, Meijer. “(Meijer) provides millions of pounds of food, donate semi-trucks and give generous financial gifts like this one,” said Kenneth Estelle, president/CEO of the food bank.

All masks provide some level of protection, but properly fitted National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health-approved respirators provide the highest level, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says. Loosely woven cloth masks provide the least protection. Most publicly available respirators are disposable and should be discarded when they are dirty, damaged or cause breathing difficulties, according to the CDC.
