DETROIT – Detroit police said a 2-year-old boy was found Monday wandering the streets alone on the city’s west side. The child’s family was located before 1 p.m. on Monday. A resident saw the boy around 7:50 a.m. Monday walking around in the 8200 block of Asbury Park without supervision and crying, according to authorities. SALT LAKE CITY A police department vowed Tuesday to cooperate with multiple investigations of the shooting of a 13-year-old autistic boy by officers in the Salt Lake City area. The Salt Lake City Police Department said the officers were called to a home in Glendale, Utah, Friday night with a report of a boy who had threatened people with a weapon. The boy reportedly ran and was shot by an officer after being pursued by police. No weapon was found Friday, the Salt Lake Tribune reported. Salt Lake Mayor Erin Mendenhall said in a statement late Sunday that the shooting was a tragedy and called for a swift and transparent investigation.

LAPEER, Mich. A boy in Lapeer came up with a fun idea to help raise money for the local animal shelter. He loves to draw and figured he could sell his art and donate the money. DETROIT – A police scout car struck a 16-year-old boy on a bicycle in Detroit Saturday afternoon. According to authorities, police were responding to a assist officers on a domestic violence call when they struck the boy on Livernois Avenue, near Otis Street. The boy was taken to a hospital and is expected to be okay. Police said the car had its lights and sirens on at the time and its officers were not injured.
