Google, YouTube hit with rare service outages
Google, YouTube and other Google services reported massive outages on Monday morning. According to DownRightNow, Gmail, YouTube, Google Drive, Google Docs and other Google tools were not working on Monday morning across the globe. TechCrunch reports that some services are coming back online as of about 7:45 a.m. (I tried to access Google and YouTube and was successful)We are aware that many of you are having issues accessing YouTube right now – our team is aware and looking into it. DTE Energy: Thousands of power outages reported in Southeast Michigan
DETROIT – Storms have knocked out power to thousands in Southeast Michigan on Friday, and more bad weather is expected through the evening. As of 10:51 p.m., around 4,860 DTE Energy customers were without power. DTE reported 78 crews in the field. A Flood Warning is in effect for Wayne County, Eastern Oakland County and Macomb County until 4 p.m. on Friday. We are under a Slight Risk for Severe Storms today, and that will be most likely through the late afternoon and evening.

The day ahead will feature partial cloud cover early this morning, followed by mostly sunny skies for the balance of the day. It'll be a windy day, though, with west winds at 15 to 25 mph, with gusts over 30 mph possible. These winds have prompted a Lakeshore Flood Warning for the Harsens Island / Algonac area. Highs today will reach the mid to upper 70s, but even cooler air is headed this way for the weekend.

DTE Energy working to restore power to customers in parts of Detroit, Macomb County
DETROIT DTE Energy said an equipment issue on Tuesday afternoon resulted in 37,000 outages in some parts of northeast Detroit and Macomb County. Crews are working to investigate the issue and restore power to customers as soon as possible, according to a statement from DTE. Officials said they expect to restore power to half of the remaining customers before 8 p.m.We know these are challenging times overall; the heat wave is adding to the inconvenience. We apologize and thank you for your patience as we work to restore the remaining customers, a spokesperson said. DTE is distributing ice and water at the Roseville Community Center in the area of Gratiot Avenue and 10 Mile Road after 7 p.m.Officials warned that as crews work to restore power some customers may lose power intermittently.
