DETROIT – Chandra Moore, the man sought by authorities earlier this month for a triple homicide and two attempted murders in Cincinnati died Friday, according to the Detroit Police Department. Moore, 55, died after being in critical condition following an exchange in gunfire with Detroit officers. DETROIT – Police are investigating a nonfatal shooting that happened on Detroit’s east side early Wednesday morning. The shooting happened at 12:55 a.m. in the area of Third Avenue and Fort Street. Police said a 37-year-old man was shot by a suspect who was driving a 2020 Dodge Durango with the Michigan license plate No. The suspect exited the vehicle and approached the victim before shooting him. The victim was transported to an area hospital and listed in serious condition.

DETROIT – A 25-year-old man was shot by an unknown person on Tuesday in Detroit, police said. The shooting happened at 1:25 a.m. in the 17700 block of West Warren Avenue. The victim told police that he got out of his armored vehicle to put cash into an ATM when an older-model red Chevrolet Impala pulled behind the armored vehicle and someone from inside the Impala shot him. The victim said he jumped back in the armored vehicle, secured the door behind him and the suspect fled the scene. DETROIT – Larry Turner recorded video of someone shooting into a Detroit home on a Sunday morning. The video shows a young man unloading a handgun into a home on Margareta Street. Turner said he heard people yelling during a domestic dispute that Detroit police had been called and were on their way. A man nearby urged the man not to start shooting. The man started shooting anyway.

DETROIT – Police are investigating a double shooting that happened early Thursday morning. The shooting happened in the area of E Remington Avenue and Omira Street at 1:30 a.m.Police said the victim reported he was driving in a grey 2019 Dodge Caravan. The second victim was a front seat passenger in that vehicle. The shooting victims drove to a home on Cherrylawn Street and were privately conveyed to an area hospital. One victim is man who is 31 years old and the other is a 28-year-old woman.

DETROIT – Police are investigating after a domestic incident ended with a barricaded gunman being taken into custody on Detroit’s east side. The initial shooting was reported at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday morning in the area of Casino Avenue and Duchess Street. The first officers on scene approached the house and heard gunfire. When they got closer to the house they heard gunfire outside. This led to the 27th barricaded gunman incident in 2022 across Detroit.

DETROIT – The family of a man shot and killed at a Detroit gas station is demanding answers and action. Lewis was shot at a 76 gas station on Gratiot Avenue. Witnesses said the 18-year-old clerk shot Lewis from behind the bulletproof glass with an AK-47. The groups have one primary demand for the owner of the gas station. In the meantime, the clerk who killed Lewis has been arrested.

He told police an unknown man in a black SUV and fired multiple shots. The victim drove himself to a hospital.
32-year-old hospitalized after overnight shooting in Detroit, police say
DETROIT – A 32-year-old man was shot at 3 a.m. on Friday in Detroit, police said. It happened in the 18900 block of West 7 Mile Road. A Good Samaritan transported the victim to a hospital. Officers arrived while the Samaritan was leaving the scene, so officer blocked traffic for the Samaritan. Police were not able to talk with the victim due to his condition.

DETROIT – A woman was killed and a man was injured in a shooting early Friday morning in Detroit. The shooting happened at a home in the 14300 block of Lauder Street in Detroit at 1:30 a.m.Police said a woman in her 30′s was shot in the neck and pronounced dead on the scene. A 27-year-old man was shot in the leg and is in stable condition. A 29-year-old woman who does not live at the home is in custody, police said. One weapon was found inside the home and another was found inside a vehicle parked outside, police said.

DETROIT – Detroit police are investigating a shooting that left a 55-year-old man injured. Police said the shooting happened on Sunday at 7:55 p.m. in the area of 7 Mile Road and Fenmore Street. The victim was driving a black 2016 GMC Sierra when an unknown suspect fired shots from inside a late-model red Dodge Charger. The victim was struck in the body and lost control over his vehicle, striking a pole. The suspect fled the area and was last seen traveling north on Ashton.

DETROIT A home invasion on Detroits west side ended with shots fired and a woman being rushed to a hospital. The shooting happened Tuesday morning around 3:50 a.m. on Auburn Street, near Evergreen and Ann Arbor Trail. Sources told Local 4 that the victim, a 32-year-old woman, was in the kitchen when a masked man forced his way into one of the doors of the home. Reports say the man pulled out a handgun, fired a single gunshot that struck the woman. Local 4 has been told that the victim is in critical condition.

DETROIT Video has gone viral of a Detroit police officer shooting a dog that police said had attacked a police K-9. Detroit police chief James Craig has provided more context on that shooting on Monday. The video shows the dog behind the fence spot the officer and the K-9 and run toward the fence. The police dogs muzzle was in the mouth of the other dog and the dog wouldnt let go. I can say that the K-9 officer made an attempt to dislodge the dog, Craig said.

Police said the three victims were in a black Honda SUV when a suspect drove up in a Dodge Ram opened fire, and fled on foot. The suspect is described as a Black man who is heavy-set and was wearing a black shirt, white stripe pants and white shoes. The 8-month-old is listed as in critical condition, according to police.
