SUV crashes into Grosse Pointe Woods store
GROSSE POINTE WOODS, Mich. โ A black SUV crashed into a wine shop Tuesday night in Grosse Pointe Woods. Officials said that just before 8 p.m., the SUV veered off Mack Avenue, hitting small trees and parking meters before crashing into the front entrance of Merchantโs Fine Wine & Spirits. Irene, who lives nearby, said she stops into the store often and could not believe the damage done to the building. โI heard a bomb (sound) but I didnโt know if itโs in here or next door,โ she said. โEverybody loves the store.โGrosse Pointe Woods police are still investigating.

DETROIT โ Police are looking for four men wanted in connection with a series of burglaries and businesses broken into early Wednesday morning. According to authorities, between 2:50 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., several Detroit businesses were broken into. Police said a gas station near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Mt. Police described the suspects as four Black men who were driving a white Dodge Charger with two black racing stripes on it.

23-year-old Detroit woman missing for more than a week
DETROIT โ Detroit police are searching for a missing 23-year-old girl named Shakia Jones who was last seen around 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6 at her home in the 14000 block of Mack Avenue. Jones has not been seen or heard from since leaving the location. She is described as being between 4 feet, 11 inches to 5 feet tall, weighs 120 pounds and has a dark brown complexion. Jones was last seen wearing a black jacket, colorful leggings and tall knee high black boots. Detroit police seeking man in connection with assault at gas station on Mack Avenue
DETROIT โ Police are seeking the publicโs help to identify a man in connection with a felonious assault on Detroitโs east side. Detroit Police said that at about 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 8, a male victim was at a gas station in the 14400 block of Mack Avenue and initiated a conversation with the alleged suspect. The suspect then walked out of the gas station and entered the passenger side of an Audi SUV. Police said prior to leaving the gas station, the alleged suspect pushed the victim in the face and then fled the area, heading west on Mack Avenue. The suspect is described as a Black man in his late teens to early 20s, slim build, wearing a black face mask.
Detroit Health Department moves immunization clinic to Midtown headquarters
DETROIT โ The Detroit Health Department officially announces the relocation of its Immunization Clinic from the Samaritan Center on the cityโs east side at 5555 Conner Street, to its headquarters at 100 Mack Avenue in Midtown. Health Department staff officially made the move to the new location on September 8, centrally located just steps from the Woodward Avenue and Mack Avenue bus lines. The Health Departmentโs newly relocated Immunization Clinic offers six newly-renovated examination rooms that will serve a higher volume of patients. โThe move to Midtown supports our mission to build healthy communities for all families,โ said Najibah Rehman, MD, MPH, Medical Director, Detroit Health Department. The Detroit Health Department Immunization Clinic is open by appointment only, Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. โ 4:30 p.m. To accommodate students participating in in-person learning at a Detroit charter or public school, the clinic will also open on Saturdays, 8 a.m. โ 4:30 p.m., now through November 1.
Residents on Detroits east side protest homeless center
DETROIT Some residents on Detroits east side came together to protest a homeless shelter in their community. They said that all you have to do is look around and see whats been done to the community because of the local resource for the homeless. No more trash in our streets, no more garbage out in the street, Reverend Aaron McCarthy said. Community members said that Team Wellness Center, a shelter and safe haven for the homeless, is hurting their community. Local 4 reached out to Team Wellness Center for comment.

Detroit police looking for missing 74-year-old man with medical condition
DETROIT Police are asking for help locating a missing 74-year-old man last seen Saturday morning. According to authorities, Napolean Jackson Jr. was last seen at about 11:30 a.m. in the 3900 block of John R. Street, just north of Mack Avenue. Jackson is 6 feet tall and weighs about 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and tan and white gym shoes. He is reportedly in good physical condition but his family said he suffers from a medical condition.

Tee Grizzley's manager killed in Detroit shooting
DETOIT - Detroit police responded to the area of 3 Mile Drive just off Mack Avenue on Tuesday night on the east side to collect evidence. Someone opened fire on a black Chrysler with three people inside, including Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley. Police said Grizzley, whose birth name is Terry Wallace, was with his 41-year-old aunt when she was shot. Grizzley's aunt was sitting in a vehicle in the 3000 block of 3 Mile Drive with her nephew and another man about 9 p.m. Grizzley, 25, got out of the car. However, his aunt, who worked as his manager, and another young man were all in the car Tuesday night when someone intentionally shot the vehicle, killing the 41-year-old manager.

Sources told Local 4 that investigators are going back into Cantrell Funeral Home and Perry Funeral Home on Detroit's west side, and police raided the Cantrell Funeral Home in Eastpointe. The next step in the Perry Funeral Home and Cantrell Funeral Home investigation is identifying the infant remains.
