Wayne State University announced Thursday that classes for the Winter 2022 semester will begin online. The announcement comes as the school begins holiday break and cases of COVID-19 continue to rise, largely due to the omicron variant.

Ann Arbor doctor earns fellow status from American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine

DETROIT โ A team at Wayne State University in Detroit has released an annual list Wednesday of little-used words it deems worthy of resurrection. Unlike overused words or phrases that counterparts at Lake Superior State University in Michiganโs Upper Peninsula list each year for banishment, the Word Warriors want to dust off those that have fallen into disuse. โEach year, Iโm surprised by the variety of the submissions we receive from around the world,โ said Chris Williams, head of the Word Warriors program. โOur Word Warriors once again provided a batch of words that make our language richer.โWords are submitted through the Word Warriors website, where they can be seen by others. โItโs just a fun word to say,โ Williams said.
Traffic stop leads to chase, crash near Wayne State University
DETROIT โ Wayne State Public Safety officers tried to make a traffic stop but the suspect fled the scene and crashed the vehicle, according to police sources. The suspect crashed into another vehicle on the Warren and I-75 overpass. Two people in the other car were transported to a nearby hospital. The suspect got out of their car and fled the scene on foot. Police are still searching for the suspect.
