Throughout the state today, people were digging out, clearing driveways, and working to get things back to normal. Weโre also seeing the kindness of neighbors shining through by helping seniors who canโt get out and shovel the snow themselves.

Schoolโs out: Ann Arbor Public Schools students given โvirtual snow dayโ Tuesday
ANN ARBOR โ Remember snow days? In a time when students remain in virtual classrooms, a snow day might not be as glamorous as it once was. Still, students in Ann Arbor Public Schools are in luck because Superintendent Dr. Jeanice Kerr Swift has declared Tuesday a snow day. Snow totals from the overnight storm are expected to exceed half a foot across Southeast Michigan, with some areas getting up to 10 inches. Those sledding hills might get busy.
Washtenaw County Health Department: Expect changes, possible delays at EMU vaccine site Tuesday
YPSILANTI, Mich. โ The Washtenaw County Health Department issued a weather advisory on Monday afternoon over a heavy snowstorm that will hit the area overnight. UPDATE: Washtenaw County Health Department cancels all Tuesday COVID-19 vaccination appointmentsAccording to the a Health Department news release, these changes include:Appointments scheduled from 9:30 to 10:00 am are rescheduled for Wed, Feb. 17 at the same time. Everyone who plans on attending their vaccine appointment is urged to proceed with caution due to expected hazardous road conditions. Those who arrive early are asked to remain in their cars until a few minutes before their scheduled appointment time. Accordingly, the National Weather Service will end the winter weather advisory -- now upgraded to a winter storm warning -- at noon. AdA winter storm warning is in effect until noon Tuesday for Genesee, Lapeer, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Sanilac, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne counties. Lows Monday night in the low teens (-11 degrees Celsius), and highs Tuesday near 20 degrees (-7 degrees Celsius). While there are still some details to work out, it appears that several more inches of snow are possible Thursday into Friday.

Attempt to "rock" the vehicle by shifting into drive and giving the vehicle a little gas, then shifting into reverse and accelerating.

Thereโs a fading chance at a rain or snow shower Saturday as a cold front falls apart as it approaches. Beyond that, there are no significant cooldowns, so expect to stay above normal all next week.
