About one month ago, Tony Pate left his Saint Clair Shores home and traveled to Ukraine to deliver medical supplies he collected out of his garage. Now he’s set to make another trip as more than 200-tons of supplies have come from Southeast Michigan, and as you can imagine, that type of collection takes up a lot of space.

JACKSON, MI -- A gunshot victim checked himself into a Jackson hospital Thursday night. At about 8:15 p.m. on Sept. 2, a Jackson police officer was dispatched to Henry Ford Allegiance Health for a report of a gunshot wound victim. Early that night, a 25-year-old man walked into the hospital with a single gunshot wound to his groin, said Director of Police and Fire Services Elmer Hitt. The man was dropped off at the hospital by a red GMC Acadia, police said. Police received no calls of shots fired in the area that night, or any other information to further substantiate the details of the case, Hitt said.

FLINT, MI -- Two suspects were taken into custody Wednesday morning in Flint after two men who’d suffered gunshot wounds were brought to a local hospital. Officers attempted to stop a vehicle involved with the shooting after leaving the hospital, but the suspect vehicle did not stop, police said. However, after a short pursuit, the vehicle was stopped and two suspects were taken into custody. The vehicle police stopped brought one of the victims to the hospital, Michigan State Police Lt. Liz Rich told MLive-The Flint Journal. The Flint Major Crimes Unit, consisting of Flint and Michigan State Police detectives, is investigating the case.
