New restaurant featuring tacos, margaritas and Caribbean food opens in Grand Rapids
GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Taco Borracho, a new restaurant on Michigan Street NE serving tacos, margaritas and more, has opened in the city’s Midtown neighborhood. Taco Borracho hosted its grand opening Thursday, May 5, in recognition of the Mexican holiday Cinco de Mayo. Gonzalez said so many people turned out for Thursday’s grand opening that Tacos Borracho ran out of food. A Facebook message posted Friday by the restaurant apologized to those who had long waits or weren’t able to be seated. Despite the opening day hiccups, Gonzalez said he’s received a lot of positive feedback about the restaurant.

BATTLE CREEK, MI -- A new Chick-fil-A restaurant is opening its doors this week in Battle Creek. The fast food chicken restaurant will be open Thursday, Feb. 24, at 6083 B Dr. N, in Battle Creek, according to a press release from the restaurant. The restaurant will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturdays. The restaurant will remain closed through Monday, Jan. 31, the post said. Owner Kristi Buris wrote in the post that closing for an entire week was not a decision she made lightly. “My primary goal is to ensure the safety and health of my crew, and by extension you,” Buris wrote.
