TOLEDO – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a string of crimes after a two-state police pursuit Saturday night. Just after 5 p.m., a Monroe County Sheriff’s deputy in Lambertville, just north of Toledo, was informed by a citizen of a damaged black Impala parked at a Rite Aid Pharmacy located near the intersection of Secor and Sterns roads. Deputies pursued the suspect southbound into Toledo, where they turned the pursuit over to the Toledo Police Department, who took the man into custody. He is currently lodged at the Lucas County Jail, pending extradition to Michigan for face charges of armed robbery, felonious assault and more. PONTIAC, Mich. – A 29-year-old woman has died nearly 48 hours after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in Pontiac Monday night. On Dec. 7, Vannessa Deanes was tragically struck by a Chevy Impala while crossing North Perry Street near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Deanes was listed in critical condition Monday night, and ultimately passed away due to her injuries. Russini had worked with Deanes for years at the Heritage Baptist Church, where she once helped out with children during Sunday school. Police say it was a 31-year-old man behind the wheel who kept driving after hitting the 29-year-old woman.

MILFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police are seeking a driver accused of striking and injuring a 60-year-old bicyclist and then fleeing the scene on Friday afternoon in Milford Township. According to authorities, at about 7:40 p.m. a 60-year-old man riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle in the area of East Buno and Child’s Lake roads. The man sustained significant, but not life-threatening, injuries and was taken to the hospital, officials said. The driver reportedly fled the scene following the collision. DETROIT Police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck they said was involved in a fatal hit-and-run on Detroits west side. The incident happened Friday before 8:30 p.m. in the area of Greenfield Road and Joy Road. Police said a woman was walking across the road when she was struck by a pickup truck, dragged and killed. DETROIT Police are seeking the driver of a gray Dodge Charger who allegedly injured three people early Monday morning. According to officials at about 2:10 a.m. the three individuals were watching the unknown driver of the Dodge Charger do donuts in the area of Livernois and West Warren Avenue. Police said the driver exited the vehicle to check on the victim, but as a witness approached, she got into the vehicle and fled. DETROIT A man wanted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in Detroit has been found and arrested after nearly a year in hiding. On July 28, 2019, 31-year-old Herman Walters was riding a motorcycle when a high-speed driver slammed into him on the southbound Southfield Service Drive near Schoolcraft Street. Walters, also known as Rocky, died at the hospital following the incident. DEARBORN, Mich. Dearborn police are seeking the public help in identifying the drive of a four-door sedan in connection with a hit-and-run incident with a bicyclist on May 28. Police say at around 2:30 p.m. a bicyclist was crossing Bingham Street when they collided with a silver sedan entering southbound Bingham Street from Ford Road. The driver of the vehicle continued driving following the incident. The bicyclist did sustain injuries but has been released from the hospital and is in recovery, officials said. PONTIAC, Mich. A 43-year-old man was arrested for driving into a telephone pole then fleeing the scene in Pontiac on Sunday morning. Police say a witness saw the man drive into a telephone pole on Dakota Street and then flee the scene on a skateboard around 10:30 a.m. The deputy ordered the man to drop the tire but he swung it in the deputys direction before dropping it. Another deputy arrived and they arrested the man without further incident, police say. The Pontiac man was transported to Oakland County Jail.

DETROIT A child was killed and two others were rushed to a hospital after a violent crash on Detroits east side. Officials with the Detroit Fire Department said an SUV was being chased when it hit another SUV, not involved in the chase. It happened Thursday evening in the area of Field Street and Agnes, near East Grand Boulevard. The SUV being pursued had three adults and three children inside. Police are still searching for the driver responsible.

According to police, the victim was changing a flat tire on the right shoulder of I-696 west of Dequindre Road when a vehicle struck them around midnight. The vehicle -- possibly a 2000-07 Ford Focus -- fled the scene, police said. The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. Police say the man was traveling south on Military Street on his moped around 10:15 p.m. when the driver of a dark colored sedan traveling west on Linsdale Street struck him. MACOMB TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities in Macomb Township are looking for a man who hit a pedestrian and fled the scene Monday. According to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, a person was crossing the road in the area of 23 Mile and North Avenue at about 7 p.m. when they were hit by a pickup truck. The pedestrian was hit by an older model, single cab Dodge Ram. An American flag and yellow “don’t tread on me” flag were flying from the back of the truck bed. The driver is described as a white man with an average build, authorities said.

DETROIT – A driver struck a pedestrian in Detroit and fled the scene Nov. 27, police said. The victim was crossing the street at E. 7 Mile and Schoenherr roads just before 1 a.m. when they were hit by a light-colored Chevrolet Suburban SUV. The Suburban is believed to be a 2000-2005 model.
