A 39-year-old Detroit man has been sentenced to 180 months in federal prison on Thursday, more than a year after he pleaded guilty to using drugs to lure at least six women into prostitution.

Police are searching for the man seen on camera taking the Bentley Flying Spur from Dream Luxury Car Rentals on Telegraph Road. VIDEO: Man snatches gun from man at Detroit gas station counter
DETROIT – Police are looking for three men wanted in connection to a Jan. 28 armed robbery on Detroit’s west side. According to authorities, the robbery happened at a gas station near the intersection of Seven Mile Road and Wyoming Avenue. Man shot and killed outside home in Highland Park
HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. – Police are investigating a shooting Tuesday in Highland Park that left one man dead. The incident happened in the area of Buena Vista Street and Woodward Avenue, south of Davison Freeway. Officers said the man in his late 20s was sitting on his porch when two men approached and opened fire. The man staggered to a friend’s home and was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Waterford Township police search for man, who they said broke into a gas station on Cooley Lake Road. WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Waterford Township police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man they said broke into a Mobile gas station on Dec. 14. Police said that with a rock, the man broke the front door glass of the gas station, located in the 5700 block of Cooley Lake Road. The man is described as wearing a ball cap with white insignia, dark-colored hooded jacket, blue jeans and black shoes. DETROIT – Police are searching for an 18-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of two women Friday on Detroit’s east side. Police said the victims -- 21-year-old Shaniya Todd and 18-year-old Shakiya Todd -- were sisters and were killed when a fight turned into a shooting. They said they’re upset and confused, but hopeful that the information police released on the suspect could lead to an arrest. Police released a photo of a suspect wanted in connection with a Dec. 18, 2020 fatal shooting. Police said he shot and killed Shakiya Todd and her older sister, Shaniya Todd, who also is a young mother.

Amber Alert canceled: Madison Heights children found safe with family in Toledo
MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. – An Amber Alert issued Friday morning for a 4-month-old child and 1-year-old child in Madison Heights has been canceled after the children were found safe in Toledo. Madison Heights police said the children were found safe with family. Police originally believed the children had been kidnapped by an 18-year-old man was believed to be armed. The Amber Alert was issued early Friday morning warning the man may be headed to Detroit or Toledo with the children. Police said the man had assaulted the children’s father and took the children at gunpoint.
Man arrested in stabbing of mother, stepfather in Madison Heights

PONTIAC, Mich. – The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a non-fatal shooting at a home in Pontiac. No injuries were reported among the six victims -- between the ages of 13 and 40. Deputies said the victim reported not knowing the shooter and could not think of anyone who would harm her. Man charged after seen on video throwing dog down stairs at Riverview apartment
RIVERVIEW, Mich. – Police said a man has been charged with animal neglect and cruelty after a Ring video showed him throwing a dog down a set of stairs inside a Riverview apartment building. According to the Riverview Police Department, the man, identified as Jacob McMillan, turned himself in and was arraigned on the misdemeanor charge Wednesday. On Nov. 10, officers received calls about the video -- posted on social media -- capturing a man throwing the pit bull in the Riverview Crossings apartment building. Police identified McMillan through witness reports. A detective on the case spoke with apartment management, who stated that McMillan did not live in the apartment.
14-year-old injured in shooting on Detroit’s east side
DETROIT – A 14-year-old was injured in a shooting Friday on Detroit’s east side. The shooting happened on Houston Whittier Street. Police believe the shooting may be connected to a fight that happened earlier in the day. The teen is in critical condition. One person has been taken into custody.
Thieves steal Slows Bar BQ trailer in Corktown, owner says
DETROIT – Police are investigating a restaurant’s food trailer that was reported stolen Wednesday. “It’s 26-feet long, it’s 10,000 pounds,” said Michael Metevia, owner of Slows Bar BQ. “There’s no hiding it.”The trailer was taken from a fenced lot on Michigan Avenue at about 2 a.m. or 3 a.m. Wednesday. “We parked it in our secure lot where it normally lives when we’re not using it. Hazel Park man charged with attempted sexual assault of 17-year-old girl
HAZEL PARK, Mich. – A Hazel Park man accused of attempting to sexually assault a 17-year-old girl faced a judge Friday. Police said 29-year-old Darryl Tellis approached the teen Monday night as she was walking near Hazel Park High School and tried to assault her. 1 person shot, killed outside restaurant in Inkster
INKSTER, Mich. – One person was shot and killed Friday night outside a restaurant on Middlebelt Road in Inkster. Shots were fired at Moe’s Fish & Chicken between Michigan Avenue and Cherry Hill Road. Police arrest gunman after standoff in Warren
WARREN, Mich. – Police arrested an armed man at the end of a standoff in Warren. Warren Police Department’s Special Response team responded to a home near Toepfer and Hoover roads. Police said the standoff started after an argument between a couple at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday. Police said that at some point, the man fired four shots. Police negotiated with the man and eventually took him into custody.
