Man taken into custody after crashing stolen vehicle in Warren
WARREN, Mich. โ A police chase ended in Warren after a man crashed a vehicle, that was reported stolen, into a utility pole. Police said the man broke into a womanโs home in Detroit, demanding her guns and car keys, and takes off with the car. The vehicle had OnStar, which tracked the vehicle in Warren. The man took off in high speed after Michigan State Police attempted to perform a traffic stop. According to MSP, the man was treated for minor injuries and taken into custody by Detroit police.

Detroit homeowner shoots and kills man during attempted break-in
DETROIT โ A 22-year-old man was shot and killed during a home invasion in the 17600 block of Fenton in Detroit on Monday evening. According to police, the home invasion suspect was killed around 7 p.m. yesterday by a 36-year-old resident of the home after entering it without permission. Police reported that at some point during the incident the resident, a CPL holder, fired several shots at the suspect and killed him. Ann Arbor father, 3 children tied up during violent home invasion
ANN ARBOR, Mich. โ Spencer John Payne and Cedrick Michael Sims were arraigned Wednesday in connection to two violent home invasions. According to authorities, the two men are accused of breaking into two houses, tying up and threatening the occupants. Police said it happened between 3 a.m. to 4 a.m. Oct. 8 at two houses, one on Sharon Drive and one on Macomb Street. Police say in the home on Macomb Street, the family -- a single father with three children, ages 5, 13 and 17 -- were tied up with electrical cords and clothing around their hands and feet. Police said they then went back to the first house, apologized, untied the father and told him not to untie the children yet.

The suspect broke into an attached garage and went into the home, the door had been left unlocked from the garage, police said. The homeowner was on the couch at the time the suspect broke in and the homeowner caught the suspect. When caught by the homeowner, the intruder took off on foot.

Police are searching for three people that broke in and shot him. On Saturday, the man climbed through the window of a Wyandotte home while the family slept, police said. He was spotted near a scrapyard Wednesday and grabbed a dump truck when police gave chase, according to officials. He jumped into a dump truck and stole the truck, Hamilton said. An officer fired a Taser, and the shot went through the passenger side window and hit the man, taking him down, according to police.

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. โ Police are investigating a reported home invasion that happened Sunday around 1:10 a.m. at a home on Oxford Avenue near Shiawassee Street, where an unknown man was found standing just inside the front door of the residence.
