Rescuers to resume search for missing Lake Michigan swimmer
MUSKEGON, MI – Rescuers on Monday, July 25, are to resume the search for a missing swimmer in Lake Michigan at Pere Marquette Park. The search is to resume Monday morning, Muskegon Professional Firefighters Union - IAFF Local 370 said. Firefighters from Muskegon and North Muskegon responded with boats, while dive teams from Muskegon and Norton Shores fire departments and Muskegon County Sheriff’s Department also responded. The weather service said high waves, strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions are expected. 36-year-old Detroit man missing for more than 2 months
DETROIT – Police are searching for a missing 36-year-old man named Robert Walker who was last seen Jan. 25 at 4 p.m in the 16800 block of Monica Street in Detroit. According to police, he left his home in the area that day and never returned. He is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 155 pounds. Missing 93-year-old woman found dead near Ann Arbor, police say
PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Pittsfield Township resident Xing Pan was discovered on Sunday by a volunteer who had joined efforts to locate her after her family reported her missing. Pan, who suffered from dementia, was found deceased by a volunteer who joined the search party. According to authorities, she was known to frequently walk in the area of Carpenter Road and Packard Road. The Pittsfield Township Police Department conducted surveillance video checks, area searches, K9 searches, helicopter aerial searches, drone flights, used FLIR technology and more to locate Pan. Detroit police seek 3 men wanted for carjacking, separate shooting
DETROIT – Police are searching for three men wanted in connection with a carjacking and separate shooting that happened in the 24500 block of West Eight Mile Road in Detroit on the city’s west side. Police say after being shot the victim stumbled a short distance through the parking lot and collapsed on the ground. Then the shooter returned to the Dodge Charger while the second armed carjacker ran east through the parking lot to an unknown area. Police describe the first carjacker as a Black man wearing a mask, all black clothing and armed with an AK-47. DETROIT – The U.S. Coast Guard said it is searching for a man who was reportedly seen falling through the ice Wednesday evening near Belle Isle. According to police, the 14-year-old girl was staying at the hotel with her family when she left their room. Sumerlin disappeared wearing a red hoodie sweatshirt featuring characters from the cartoon Tom and Jerry along with green pants.
