According to authorities, an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old were in a parking lot near the intersection of Gratiot Avenue and Outer Drive when an unknown person began fighting and shots were fired. The two teens were both struck and taken to a hospital where they were listed in temporary serious condition. Man crashes car into Detroit gas station after fatally wounded in drive-by shooting
DETROIT โ Police are looking for a man who was caught on video firing several shots into another vehicle outside a gas station, killing the driver of the vehicle on Friday morning. According to Detroit police, the victim was sitting in the driverโs seat of a silver Ford Fusion parked at a gas pump in the 10600 block of E. Outer Drive. Police said the Chevrolet drove away after shooting at the vehicle, but then returned and fired several more shots into the Ford Fusion, fatally wounding the man, whose identity is unknown. After the victim was struck, his Ford Fusion accelerated forward and crashed into the wall of the gas station building. Police said the shooter was seen wearing a light colored jacket, dark colored hat and light colored face mask.

DETROIT โ Police are investigating a triple shooting that happened Saturday at around 1:40 a.m. in the 5000 block of East Outer Drive in Detroit. According to police, a 23-year-old man pulled out a weapon during an argument with two other people in the area. Police say after he pulled out the weapon the situation escalated with a struggle between him, another 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman. DETROIT Two people have been charged following the death of a 48-year-old man who was killed in a car crash on Friday. The man was struck by a 19-year-old driver who was fleeing Detroit police. Officers identified the suspects vehicle traveling south on West Outer Drive near Plymouth Road. The 48-year-old man driving the Honda Odyssey was transported to the hospital following the crash, where he was pronounced dead. LINCOLN PARK, Mich. โ Michigan State Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting that injured a child in Lincoln Park on Sunday afternoon. Police say at around 3:30 p.m. a suspect pulled alongside the victimโs car on the northbound I-75 ramp to Outer Drive. The suspect shot at the vehicle multiple times and struck an 18-month-old child, officials said. Michigan State Policeโs Special Investigation Section is investigating the incident at the request of Lincoln Park Police. Officials say this is not a random incident.

Closures begin on Lodge Freeway, M-10 service drives in Detroit: What to know
DETROIT โ A project to repair retaining walls on M-10 (Lodge Freeway) in Detroit begin today -- and itโll mean closures on service drives and eventually the freeway itself. The northbound M-10 service drive from Sorrento Avenue to Outer Drive will be closed first, followed by the southbound M-10 service drive closure from Hartwell Avenue to Thatcher Avenue for pavement removal. The northbound M-10 service drive will be detoured to northbound Meyers Road, then westbound 7 Mile Road back to the northbound M-10 service drive. The southbound M-10 service drive will be detoured to southbound Schaefer Highway, then eastbound McNichols Road back to the southbound M-10 service drive. Northbound M-10 will be detoured via eastbound M-8 (Davison Freeway) to northbound I-75, then westbound M-102 (8 Mile Road).

ALLEN PARK, Mich. โ The Southbound side of the Southfield Freeway (M-39) is closed at Outer Drive due to flooding in Allen Park. Wayne County said earlier that the Ecorse Creek has overflowed causing surface flooding on roadways. Itโs unclear how long the freeway will remain closed. The freeway flooded in 2019 and was closed for days following heavy rains. North and Southbound Southfied Freeway is being closed for flooding at Outer Drive in Allen Park.
Police: 2 men arrested after being pulled over in Dearborn with 5 rifles, handgun in car
DEARBORN, Mich. โ Dearborn police arrested two men who were pulled over with five rifles and a handgun in the car, according to authorities. Officers were called Nov. 21 to a home in the area of Outer and Rotunda drives for a report of an armed robbery, police said. A vehicle matching the description of the one involved in the armed robbery was seen leaving the area, officials said. Amjad Ibrahim, 26, and Xavier Bender, 46, were inside the car, along with five rifles and a handgun, according to authorities. They were both charged with six counts of felon in possession of a firearm, four counts of felon in possession of ammunition and six felony firearm violations.

According to police, the crash happened after the female driver of a vehicle failed to yield while switching lanes and was struck by a second vehicle. Police say the crash forced the at-fault vehicle into the rear of a semi truck. The at-fault driver was taken to a hospital where she was was pronounced dead.
