Dearborn police investigating after 67-year-old woman killed after being struck by vehicle
DEARBORN, Mich. โ A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Dearborn on Saturday. Dearborn police were called to Greenfield Road, south of Ford Road at 8:15 p.m.Police said a 67-year-old woman was crossing Greenfield Road when she was struck by a southbound traveling vehicle driven by a 20-year-old man. Man shot twice outside Fairlane Town Center, police search for gunman
DEARBORN โ Police are searching for a gunman who opened fire Monday outside of the Fairlane Town Center. One man was shot twice in what Dearborn police said was an attempted robbery. Police said that at about 5:50 p.m., a man in his 50s was shot twice outside of the door. Now, police are looking the gunman, who left the area in a red Dodge Charger. First responders leave bags of face masks on Dearborn porches to help mitigate spread of COVID-19
DEARBORN, Mich. โ The Dearborn Police Department and the Dearborn Fire Departments are leaving bags of face masks on the porches of Dearborn households. The first responders are starting in areas of Dearborn with the highest number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases. Police and fire began delivering the masks on Wednesday. They are leaving 10 masks per household on porches in east Dearborn neighborhoods and the โgeographic area commonly known as The South End of Dearborn.โI assure residents that these masks are legitimate and safe to use Mayor John B. Federal lawsuit filed against city of Dearborn, police department
DEARBORN, Mich. โ A federal lawsuit was filed after a local father said he asked for directions from a police officer and was assaulted. Court documents claim Luther Gonzalez-Hall, 22, asked Dearborn Police officer Marvin Sanders for directions and the interaction ended with the officer assaulting and choking Gonzalez-Hall. At one point during the confrontation, Sandersโ bodycam falls to the ground. โI didnโt believe that it was real.โNow Gonzalez-Hall is suing Sanders, the city of Dearborn and the Dearborn Police Department for the way he was treated. When Local 4 asked about the status of officer Sanders, the Dearborn Police Department immediately asked the Defenders to submit a Freedom of Information Act request.

Dearborn police said some residents were concerned as to why the store was boarded up. Police said Marshalls told all of its stores to board its windows before the election. Police said there is no known threats to the store, which remains open, or any other location within the in DearbornโThere is nothing to be concerned about at this time and the police department will continue to work to provide a safe and secure election," said Police Chief Ronald Haddad.
Man stabbing woman in face, head killed by police at Dearborn apartment
DEARBORN, Mich. โ Police shot and killed a 43-year-old man on Sunday while responding to a domestic violence call at a Dearborn apartment. Haddad says an officer shot and killed the 43-year-old man who was repeatedly stabbing the woman in the bathroom of the apartment. The Dearborn woman was not shot during the incident, but she suffered from critical injuries from the stabbing, according to officials. The 43-year-old man, also from Dearborn, was reportedly wanted for multiple felonies and was a parole absconder. According to authorities, without the work of the first responders, the Dearborn woman would have died at the scene.
Dearborn officer kills man while responding to assault on woman
DEARBORN, Mich. โ A man was killed by a 15 year veteran of the Dearborn Police Department on Sunday, according to the cityโs police chief Ronald Haddad. Police say that around 6:22 a.m. Sunday dispatch received a call from a 39-year-old Dearborn woman who stated she was being assaulted with a knife by her boyfriend. When police arrived witnesses told them the man was assaulting the victim with a knife. First aid was immediately provided to both the man and woman, police say. Michigan State Police are investigating the case while the Dearborn Police Department conducts an internal investigation.
