WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – Police are investigating an armed robbery at an Ypsilanti Township CVS. Police were called at 9:35 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, to the CVS Pharmacy on 2151 Washtenaw Avenue for an armed robbery, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office. The man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money in an unknown direction, police said. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the man, police said. Man faces charges after bank robbery, crash on US-23 in Ann Arbor during police chase
ANN ARBOR – Ken Kenyatta Wilson was charged on Friday with a slew of felonies by the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office. Wilson fled police officers on Tuesday afternoon after robbing the Chase Bank at 4101 E. Ellsworth Road in Pittsfield Township, leading to a chase when the suspect crashed his vehicle in the area of US-23 and Washtenaw Ave. Wilson was transported to St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor hospital with serious injuries, but was reported to be in stable condition. Police: Armed man got in driver’s SUV at Pontiac stop sign, forced him to open beer, took vehicle
PONTIAC, Mich. – An armed man got inside a driver’s SUV at a stop sign in Pontiac, forced him to drive to another location to open a can of beer and then stole his vehicle, according to police. Oakland County deputies said a 48-year-old Pontiac man stoped at a sign sign at East Rundell Street and North Glenwood Avenue at 8:51 p.m. Monday (Feb. 22). When they arrived, the driver parked the Expedition and the armed man grabbed a can of beer, officials said. The armed man fled the scene in the vehicle, according to police. Officials said the armed man was in his 30s and about 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a thin build and dreadlock-style hair with blonde tips.

Teens charged with 1st degree murder in death of Uber driver in Detroit
DETROIT – Two Detroit teenagers have been charged as adults with first-degree murder after an Uber driver was found in an alley with fatal injuries from a hammer and knife attack, officials said. Prosecutors said Devin McKee, 16, and Lanyah Brady, 15, order the Uber ride with every intention of robbing the driver. DETROIT – Two Detroit teenagers have been charged with first-degree murder after an Uber driver was found in an alley with fatal injuries from a hammer and knife attack, officials said. Devin Delon McKee, 16, and Lanyah Quan Brady, 15, both of Detroit, are accused of killing Timothy Marcus Perkins, a 60-year-old Uber driver from Southfield, according to authorities. Detroit investigators recovered Perkins’ stolen car and identified McKee and Brady as suspects in the case, police said. Officials accuse McKee and Brady of calling for an Uber driver for the purpose of robbing him. When they were inside Perkins’ car, McKee robbed and carjacked him by attacking him with a hammer and stabbing him with a knife, according to authorities.

2 critically injured in attempted robbery in Detroit, victim lured by dating app
DETROIT – Police are investigating a double-shooting Saturday night on Detroit’s west side. It happened at about 9:30 p.m., near the intersection of Woodside Street and Northfield Street, just east of Livernois Avenue. According to authorities, a 57-year-old man met a woman on an online dating website and arranged to meet at her apartment. Police said when the man arrived, the woman was waiting with her 18-year-old boyfriend, who was armed and attempted to rob the man. The 57-year-old man was a CPL holder.

Ann Arbor teen charged with murder after turning himself in, second suspect at large
SOUTH LYON, Mich. – Fadi Zeineh, 19, of Ann Arbor has been charged with 10 offenses in the shooting death of 17-year-old Dylan Stamper of South Lyon. The boy’s father, Kevin Stamper, 43, remains in critical condition in the hospital. According to police, a woman called 911 around 9 p.m. to report a break-in and that shots had been fired. Zeineh was arrested after he turned himself in to the Ann Arbor Police Department on Friday morning. Investigators are now in search of a second suspect who was allegedly with Zeineh at the time of the shooting.
Monroe County hit-and-run, armed robbery suspect arrested after police pursuit into Toledo
TOLEDO – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a string of crimes after a two-state police pursuit Saturday night. Just after 5 p.m., a Monroe County Sheriff’s deputy in Lambertville, just north of Toledo, was informed by a citizen of a damaged black Impala parked at a Rite Aid Pharmacy located near the intersection of Secor and Sterns roads. Deputies pursued the suspect southbound into Toledo, where they turned the pursuit over to the Toledo Police Department, who took the man into custody. He is currently lodged at the Lucas County Jail, pending extradition to Michigan for face charges of armed robbery, felonious assault and more. Ann Arbor police looking for armed man who robbed downtown party store Tuesday
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Ann Arbor Police Department is searching for an armed man who robbed a party store on Main Street Tuesday morning. Around 10:40 a.m., an unknown man walked into the Main Street Party Store at 201 N. Main St and demanded cash after producing a knife, according to police. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the party store in a gray Chevrolet HHR heading west on Miller Avenue. The robbery suspect is described as a 6-foot to 6-foot 3-inch tall, white man between 30 to 35 years old. Dollar Tree employees threatened in Royal Oak Charter Township armed robbery
ROYAL OAK CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police are investigating a Dollar Tree store armed robbery that took place on Friday at around 9 p.m. in Royal Oak Charter Township. According to witnesses, a black man wearing a hoodie and face mask was in the store making cash purchases before the robbery. The robber returned after all the customers left. He pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot two employees for money from the register. Police say the robber left the store on foot and no one was injured.

Michigan State Police investigating double shooting at Inkster motel
INKSTER, Mich. – Michigan State Police detectives responded to the Paradise Inn on Michigan Avenue in Inkster late Saturday, early Sunday morning for a nonfatal shooting. According to authorities, when troopers arrived, they could hear the victims yelling for help. Emergency medical personnel transported a man and a woman to a local hospital, where they are in serious condition. Troopers located who they believe is responsible and he was taken into custody without incident Sunday. Police believe it could have been an armed robbery.

Ann Arbor father, 3 children tied up during violent home invasion
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Spencer John Payne and Cedrick Michael Sims were arraigned Wednesday in connection to two violent home invasions. According to authorities, the two men are accused of breaking into two houses, tying up and threatening the occupants. Police said it happened between 3 a.m. to 4 a.m. Oct. 8 at two houses, one on Sharon Drive and one on Macomb Street. Police say in the home on Macomb Street, the family -- a single father with three children, ages 5, 13 and 17 -- were tied up with electrical cords and clothing around their hands and feet. Police said they then went back to the first house, apologized, untied the father and told him not to untie the children yet.

PORT HURON, Mich. – Police are investigating after a 17-year-old man was assaulted and robbed. Armed man steals teen’s phone in residential Detroit neighborhood, police say
DETROIT – A man reportedly approached a teenager and stole his cell phone in a residential neighborhood on Detroit’s west side Saturday night. Detroit police say at about 8:57 p.m. a 16-year-old boy was walking in the 7400 block of Faust Avenue when a white Ford Taurus approached him. The man driving the vehicle reportedly demanded the teen’s cell phone. The man took the phone and then fled the scene, police say. The suspect is described as a Black man between the ages of 20 and 30 years old, standing around 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing between 160-180 pounds.

Police seek 2 in connection to armed robbery at Troy Chipotle restaurant
TROY, Mich. – Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Monday night at a Chipotle restaurant in Troy. Police described one suspect as between 6 feet to 6 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing about 190 pounds. He was wearing a blacked hooded sweatshirt, a red ski mask, black gloves, black pants and was armed with a handgun. Police described the other suspect as between 6 feet, 1 inch to 6 feet, 2 inches and weighing about 170 pounds. FERNDALE, Mich. – A 17-year-old boy was taken into custody after a Thursday morning carjacking in Ferndale. According to authorities, just after 7:15 a.m., a 62-year-old man was at a gas station near the intersection of Eight Mile Road and Livernois Avenue when the suspect approached with a handgun and demanded the vehicle. DETROIT Police are looking for two men wanted in connection to a Saturday afternoon shooting that put a 15-year-old boy in the hospital. According to authorities, just after 5 p.m., a 15-year-old boy and his friend met up with the suspects in the 14100 block of Sussex Street, just south of Grand River Avenue. Police said the 15-year-old was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money and a second suspect fired shots at the teen as he ran away. Detroit police say the 39-year-old man was filming near Fort Street and 15th Street around 8:20 p.m. when two unknown suspects approached him and allegedly robbed him at gunpoint. The two suspects fled the scene heading east on Fort Street in a tan four-door Lincoln, officials said. 2 charged after Warren man shot, robbed when he invited woman from Facebook to home
WARREN, Mich. – Two people are facing charges after a Warren man was shot and robbed at his home Sunday. Summer Desjardin, 24, and Daniel Wargo, 21, were charged with multiple felony counts in connection with the incident. Police said there was an exchange between the victim and Wargo before the victim was shot. Desjardin is charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and a felony firearm weapons charge. Wargo is charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, assault with intent to murder and multiple weapons charges, including, possession by a felon.
2 charged 10 years after being considered possible suspects in Waterford Township man’s murder
WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Two men have been charged in connection with the murder of a Waterford Township man more than 10 years after they were initially considered possible suspects in the case, police said. Ruben Guttierrez Jr. lived with his parents in a garage that had been converted into his own living space at their Waterford Township home, police said. Guttierrez was home the night of Nov. 11, 2009, and into the next day, but he remained in his room, according to authorities. He was officially pronounced dead by Waterford Township police. SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – An armed robber targeted the Oakland Party Store in Southfield on Jan. 23 around 7:30 p.m., according to authorities. The suspect entered the store at 10 Mile and Evergreen roads and threatened to shoot if the employee didn’t hand over money, police said. The employee dove behind the counter for protection, and the suspect then fled the store, officials said. He fired two shots as he ran, one at the employee and another at the front door, according to officials. Man uses fake gun to steal $740 from victim during cell phone sale in Pontiac
PONTIAC, Mich. – A man used a gun that turned out to be fake to rob a man during a cell phone sale Monday in Pontiac. Authorities said the victim went to a home in the 100 block of Cadillac Street to buy the phone. The seller told him his uncle would come outside to complete the sale. The victim told deputies a man came outside, got into his vehicle, held a gun to his head and pulled the trigger. A 57-year-old Pontiac man was arrested and deputies were able to recover a replica handgun.
