NORTON SHORES, MI -- Police are investigating an assault at a Norton Shores home that reportedly left four people injured. Police responded about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13 to a home in the 1300 block of East Broadway Avenue, just west of U.S. 31, for the assault. Muskegon County dispatchers were told the incident was a disturbance and possibly a stabbing. At least one person had a head injury with bleeding, dispatchers were told. ANTRIM COUNTY, MI -- A Central Lake man was formally arraigned on multiple charges Thursday in connection with an alleged assault that involved him shooting a woman with a BB gun and holding multiple people against their will. Two women told police Meeker assaulted them and refused to allow them or the three children that were in the house to leave. It was only after Meeker passed out that the women were able to retrieve their cell phones and escape the house. When police arrived and tried to make contact with Meeker, they said he was asleep on the couch. After waking him up, police realized Meeker was intoxicated, but they were able to arrest him after a short struggle.mlive.com
Man critically injured in Clio assault
CLIO, MI -- Police in Clio are investigating an assault early Wednesday morning that left a man critically injured. Officers with the Clio Police Department were dispatched shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18 to the 500 block of Pine Street in the city for an assault report. It was discovered by police that a 27-year-old man had been injured, per a Clio Police Department news release. The suspect is unknown and and left prior to police arriving at the scene.
