Bicyclist hospitalized after being struck by hit-and-run vehicle in Midland
MIDLAND, MI — Police are investigating a hit-and-run in Midland that left a woman hospitalized with serious injuries. The motor vehicle involved had fled the scene before officers arrived. The bicyclist, a 51-year-old Midland woman, was taken to MidMichigan Medical Center’s emergency room for treatment of her injuries. Midland police officers were assisted by MidMichigan EMS, the Midland Fire Department, and the Midland County Sheriff’s Office. HAMPTON TWP, MI — Police are investigating a hit-and-run in Bay County that has left a man hospitalized. The collision occurred at 5:42 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6, near the intersection of Ridge Road and Pine Road in Hampton Township. A 22-year-old man had been walking west on the northside of Ridge Road when a westbound vehicle struck him from behind, police said. The striking vehicle continued west on Ridge Road before turning north onto Pine Road, police said. (CBS DETROIT) – Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run and a non-fatal shooting that took place in Detroit. The fatal hit-and-run took place Friday morning at 10:45 in the area of Whittier and King Richard Street. The non-fatal shooting took place on W. 7 Mile Road and Stahelin Avenue Friday afternoon. Police say the 38-year-old man was stopped in front of a local business in his Burgundy Chevrolet minivan, when an unknown person in an unknown vehicle pulled up next to him. The shooting the suspect then fled in an unknown direction.
