Troy police say their suspect got into four homes and robbed them recently. DโMario Darrell Thornton, 40, was arraigned Tuesday afternoon after being arrested Sunday morning and held on a $45,000 bond. Joshua Jones from the Troy Police Department told Local 4 News officers first suspected Thornton after the first home invasion a week ago in the neighborhood near Somerset collection. Immediately detectives went to work and followed Thornton to a Troy neighborhood at Livernois and Big Beaver Saturday night. They say he went to work robbing two homes.

AdPolice eventually found Sauveโs car and said on Thursday that the four people are now in custody. He said he received 18 staples in his head, but he said he will be fine.

The shooting took place in the 9300 block of Woodside in Detroit at around 9:30 p.m. Friday. Police say that is where a 57-year-old man went to meet a woman he found on the dating app. Police say the two were hospitalized and are currently still in critical condition. Ann Arbor police looking for armed man who robbed downtown party store Tuesday
ANN ARBOR, Mich. โ The Ann Arbor Police Department is searching for an armed man who robbed a party store on Main Street Tuesday morning. Around 10:40 a.m., an unknown man walked into the Main Street Party Store at 201 N. Main St and demanded cash after producing a knife, according to police. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the party store in a gray Chevrolet HHR heading west on Miller Avenue. The robbery suspect is described as a 6-foot to 6-foot 3-inch tall, white man between 30 to 35 years old. He pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot two employees for money from the register. Police say the robber left the store on foot and no one was injured.

DETROIT โ For the second time this week, Detroit police are investigating a robbery and assault at a dollar store on Detroitโs east side. On Monday, an armed man robbed a Dollar Tree and sexually assaulted two female employees. The incident happened at a store on Van Dyke Avenue and 8 Mile Road, according to Detroit police. On Tuesday around 7 p.m., a couple was robbed outside a Dollar General on Van Dyke, just a block away from the Dollar Tree near 8 Mile Road. When the wife walked out of the store, the suspect pointed a gun at her and told her to go back inside the store.

Ann Arbor father, 3 children tied up during violent home invasion
ANN ARBOR, Mich. โ Spencer John Payne and Cedrick Michael Sims were arraigned Wednesday in connection to two violent home invasions. According to authorities, the two men are accused of breaking into two houses, tying up and threatening the occupants. Police said it happened between 3 a.m. to 4 a.m. Oct. 8 at two houses, one on Sharon Drive and one on Macomb Street. Police say in the home on Macomb Street, the family -- a single father with three children, ages 5, 13 and 17 -- were tied up with electrical cords and clothing around their hands and feet. Police said they then went back to the first house, apologized, untied the father and told him not to untie the children yet.
